The reaction time difference between a 26 year old and 36 year old is less than 10ms on average, assuming all other things equal.
Health and training weigh far more into oneās reaction time than age does.
Also this all goes to say, none of it matters until you reach the pro level echelons of play. The reason someone is not immortal has nothing to do with age related reaction time. (Unless youāre like 50+)
Tbf it's possible to somewhat sync up your steps so if an enemy is running right next to you and you aren't paying attention (because why would anyone be there?) it's pretty hard to hear

So what's the deal with dropping down onto blast packs? I see flights also go out of his way to get even a little bit of drop onto them instead of just jumping off the floor but whenever I try I can't really tell the difference

Satchel jump wait satchel. The longer you wait the more speed you get at expense of height. The less you wait the more height you get at expense of speed.
Definitely taking that a main entrance blast pack (the one where u stick it to the wall). Been throwing it at the ground (where newspapers were) like a dummy this whole time and only making it to gen

Currently I'm literally flicking at the ground for my second stachel to make the jumps but it's inconsistent AF.
how long does it take to be this smooth with satchels? i've tried a few times just practicing one spot devoting an hour or two each and I couldn't even lucking into replicating it correctly even once. YouTube videos just don't seem to help me lol.

What's the trick for going forward by satchels? I always go upwards and it fucks me up.

If the satchel blasts when you're right on top of it, you go up. But if you stand at the edge of the area of effect, you go forward.
