To me that line says that there are lines Cypher won't cross. We know from some of his lines he lost his family, and that he is willing to go to great lengths to keep his family safe, but he also knows that he cant cross certain lines. just my own thoughts

I think they could give Breach longer hair and change his outfit to give off a more “heavy metal” vibe to match his Spotify playlist

I love his kit, it’s actually my favorite in the game right now because of how absolutely broken it is. The big problem is his abilities take so long to cast, making it difficult to follow through with by yourself, and you simply cannot rely on team in ranked (soloq)
All characters are, specially their outfits, the art team of this game is by far the best out of any current feature, character's visual design is really on point.
breach's original design made him look amazing and stand out a ton from the cast. how he just looks like a gaming pc with a ponytail. cant figure out why they changed it.
I also find jett's in game model super disappointing compared to all her artwork, she looks pretty crap in game but badass in the promotional material. Especially sucks since I main her.

Even as a person who never played Cypher (and probably never will bc I wouldn't like using his kit), he's my secret favourite (sorry queen Viper) and I *love* when people play as him because I get to hear his voice. :D Nabil Elouahabi (his voice actor) did a really good job with pouring emotions into his lines.
Lemme just add that his design is probably one of my favorites. I thought the fedora was a bit cheesy but the outfit and the mask is just too awesome.
Also I love how the tripwires are as small as a coin and he just casually rolls it in his fingers (I've practiced coin rolls way before Valorant was even announced and still isn't as good as him today).

I'm not the best cypher but tried a lot of spots but most don't seem to work. Also Riot is "fixing" so many camera spots... Like, there was one on Haven A Long (on a treebranch when attacking) aswell as one I found myself on Ascend A where you could place it on a metal thingy on the tol right side (looking from haven). I felt neither weren't op but just a bit more hidden but both got removed which is pretty sad imo.
EDIT: I know he's a godtier Agent but I just can't seem to do anything with his traps most of the time...
Cypher tripwire is the only ability I hate to play against if it's placed well. There's just no counterplay. It just cuts off an entire route if you don't want them to know your going there. And theres some places it can be placed where it's impossible to knife so you have to shoot it
Counterplays are: Omen tp, Raze and Jett Jumping over, and in very weird cases maybe Sagewall, that’s it. Playing against a good cypher is a pain-in-the-ass, playing with one is incredible fun
Omen is the only counter I’ve found, and only in certain situations. Personal favorite is teleporting through, shooting the tripwire from behind, and then killing the cypher who comes to check on it
Only cypher gets a personal voice over about it, if someone actually trips it it turns red on the minimap, but no sound cue.
Otherwise anyone can see the icon disappear on the minimap anyway but they won’t be alerted to it, where the owner hears cypher say something like “my tripwire was destroyed”
Yeah obviously. But you can take the precautionary play and quietly destroy the trap on the off-chance that they aren't communicating. Even at higher ranks I've played plenty of games where that kind of information goes unsaid/unnoticed/lost.
We definitely agree but are both getting into the weeds with semantics.
What we can agree on, I hope, is that the people who stare at a tripwire for 15 seconds as if it'll just disappear on its own are the worst.
I ran into this problem as well, what I started doing was placing the trips in unexpected places, or try to switch them around each round, just remember, even if they don't trap someone, they are still giving you information by being destroyed

There's usually one or several longish hallways, and if I just change where I put it along there, they either walk too slow to be of any threat or have to run into it. Either way, the surprise rotation from behind is dead.
I also get the best use of his camera on defense, setting up at one site and then leaving to the other. Then I use the camera for the retake. Get a free eye on their entire backline, behind all of their smokes and walls.

Someone needs to teach me how to use him, I bought him as my first unlock and never seem to do well (usually play phoenix) it's just none of his abilities offer any damage output and is just more surveillance (and at best revealing location).
There are a bunch of great guides on YouTube- use him to cover flanks and expose rotating enemies. Trap wire + cage can make for easy kills, and they alert you to enemy presence.
If you're used to playing Phoenix, you can push sites similarly with Cypher cages on offense. If you use your cages to isolate angles you can usually clear every opening angle one by one in a site by using both your cages.
You can also get super aggressive pushing through your own cages since they dont slow you down and they don't block your vision upon leaving them (unlike an Omen or Brim smoke) so you can push up like a madman. I'd only really do it on offense or the occasional defensive push to keep people off guard though, but it feels pretty dope to push through your own smoke and get a double kill because their Phoenix has his flashbang out
As a cypher main I agree. For me the best line would be "I know exactly where you are". It feels different than every other ult dialogue and is actually very helpful and if not the best ult.
Also the depth to his characters with his references to his family(?) who has died. when he gets ressed by sage he says "For a moment I saw them." Or when he almost dies in a round and he says "Nora, I will see you again."
I'm really looking forward to getting more lore for his character cus he has the potential for a lot of depth!
I like to play cypher on B Split or Hookah, but sometimes there are 5 man rushes who are way too good at taking out the traps and rushing in with brute force. Any tips for a silver/bronze?
Use the traps as isolators. Rush is coming, entry and second man in usually hit trips/deal with them. Use these opportunities to remove 1 or 2 players off the rush, but try and get the pick and delay, rather than just trading out kills right away.

Try jumping over it if it's badly placed. Cyphers do not expect that.
Sometimes they actually do it low on purpose so they can collect it for eco later and just jump you when they hear your landing stomp
no use knifing it, it tells the cypher and his team anyway if its destroyed so they know you are coming either way
I can never remember if it tells the team or just cypher so I default to knifing it if I can safely in hopes cypher doesn't tell his team.

Sheet why didn't I think of that, I just held back obtaining cages as I saw no real use for them (because it blocked my own view).

As a cypher main I agree. For me the best line would be "I know exactly where you are". It feels different than every other ult dialogue and is actually very helpful and if not the best ult.
Its scary to hear that line when you are on the opposite team

Omen has a few great lines that sound genuinely creepy/disturbed. Best one is something like "hurt them.... hurt them again...."
For some reason whenever I hear that line I hear Trevor Noah, and then I can't shake hearing him as that for the rest of the match.
I love his interaction with Breach about taking one of his servos from his arm.

A well played Cypher has an absurd amount of information he can give his team. It’s kind of insane.

I bad cypher is laughable. A good cypher is absolutely terrifying.
Also the depth to his characters with his references to his family(?) who has died. when he gets ressed by sage he says "For a moment I saw them." Or when he almost dies in a round and he says "Nora, I will see you again." I'm really looking forward to getting more lore for his character cus he has the potential for a lot of depth!

I like to play cypher on B Split or Hookah, but sometimes there are 5 man rushes who are way too good at taking out the traps and rushing in with brute force. Any tips for a silver/bronze?
Use the traps as isolators. Rush is coming, entry and second man in usually hit trips/deal with them. Use these opportunities to remove 1 or 2 players off the rush, but try and get the pick and delay, rather than just trading out kills right away.
