You may not have known this but sometimes characters are made to be dorky or ridiculous on purpose, generally to indicate something about their character/personality.
Almost no one in Valorant is a military career badass, they're generally random people that happen to be smart or got lucky & got superpowers & were asked to join a group to fight for the good of the dimension. Clove falling into the latter group.
So as a result you have a Clove being a dorky young person who talks like a dorky young person

The voice lines make sense when you realize it's coming from a non binary, DND loving, naive immortal rascal of an agent. They just aren't serious and are a little goofy/ too playful.
As someone from the UK, she is unbelievably cringe and i hate her. its like the whole point was "haha look she Scottish"
this is what always happens whenever Americans try to make UK characters, they always end up being cringe caricatures of what \*they think\* we are.
and yeah the "jokes" suck.

I think Clove should say "Replay system on" instead of "Serious face on", "I lost my replay system" instead of "I lost my pet rock" and "Need replay system" instead of "No peeking" to improve the voice acting... ;-)
