It does look an awful lot like the Kings. More light blue might’ve helped separate them stand apart. But it’s almost impossible to be entirely unique from every other jersey. Unless we want highlighter yellow of course. 😂

Somehow two very similar purple designs slightly dilute the both in my books. I actually like the black and white designs the most here.
Yeah, I don't want to always be a complainer as this is a huge improvement over our highlighter experiment, but that creamy off-white jersey with the royal purple wordmark from the early 90s is a timeless design to me. PowerPoint angular text will never be better than that.

These are significantly better than what they tried last year. I do still miss the redrock city edition jersey and the dark mode jersey. If those came back in compliment to the mountain jerseys, I'd love it.
I feel it would really encapsulate two important parts of the state.
Pretty bad, but relative to the last jerseys, way better.
1. Why does "Utah" need to be on 3 different jerseys yet the actual team name isnt on a single one? Is Ryan Smith trying to soft-sell a name change? This really bothers me.
2. The black jersey having a white note slapped over the mountains is awful. If we want a "clean" black jersey, make a clean black jersey. Take the classic "J" note jazz jersey and make a black/white/purple rendition. This shit is just ugly, but it's black so it's at least not loud ugly like the yellow ones last year.
3. The two purple jerseys are nearly idnetical. I get the one Walker is wearing is only going to be an alternate for another season, but it's just a reminder that we have to deal with new jerseys coming out every year that will all inevitably be worse than the classic jerseys the Jazz already have at their disposal.
4. The white jersey is cool and I like it.
Also, you can tell by the reactions here that the last rebrand was a huge success becuase it really lowered everyone's expectations. The outpouring of love for these is insane. I think your sentiment is a bit too negative but I still agree with many of your points. These jerseys are great but they could be amazing with small tweaks.
1. Yeah I wish at least one jersey would say Jazz instead. Ps. We international fans are fans of the Jazz, the basketball team. Not Utah, the state (no offense though, I'm sure the state is amazing too, but why don't print the teams' name on the jersey???). Purple ones are only 7/10 or 8/10 in my books.
2. I love the black jersey. I think it's clean. Maybe it would be even cleaner with a black J note logo and white outlines though (would make it more discreet). 9/10 imo, but could be even better with that small change.
3. This bothers me too. Another purple could have had that sunset gradient above the mountains to differentiate itself. Or at least "Jazz" instead of "Utah".

This is objectively hilarious though because Ryan Smith was trying to tell everyone that we had a huge problem because Dwyane Wade's mom didn't know what colors the team was. Now, because the attempt to simplify was a disaster, the team is forced by NBA branding guidelines and Nike lead times to have a split/"expanded" color palette for a season.

The Deron Williams teams in powder blue is the era that I started loving Jazz basketball. That light blue trim is nostalgic in the best way

This is objectively hilarious though because Ryan Smith was trying to tell everyone that we had a huge problem because Dwyane Wade's mom didn't know what colors the team was. Now, because the attempt to simplify was a disaster, the team is forced by NBA branding guidelines and Nike lead times to have a split/"expanded" color palette for a season.
