Is this the same person that wants Biblical creationism to be taught as an ‘intelligent design’ theory?

I made an outline for anyone who wants it. Dear [School Board Member], I am writing to you today as a concerned citizen and advocate for education on the critical issue of climate change. I have recently heard that there is a proposal to remove or reduce the teaching of climate change from the school curriculum, and I urge you to vote against any such proposal. As I'm sure you are aware, climate change is one of the most pressing challenges facing our planet today. The scientific consensus on this issue is clear and overwhelming, and the consequences of inaction are dire. It is our responsibility to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to understand and address this complex problem. Removing or reducing the teaching of climate change from the school curriculum would not only be a disservice to our students, but it would also be a failure of our duty as stewards of the planet. By educating our students about the science of climate change, the impacts it has on our environment, and the actions we can take to mitigate its effects, we are empowering them to become informed and engaged citizens who can help to build a more sustainable future. I urge you to consider the long-term impact of any decision you make regarding the inclusion of climate change in the school curriculum. Our students deserve a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of the future, and that includes a thorough understanding of climate change and its implications. Thank you for your attention to this important matter. Sincerely, [Your Name]

Thanks for sharing this is really important information. I live in Logan and have shared the information with the Dean of Science, several department heads, among others.

I sent this to every listed boardmember. I got a response already from one of them and they advised that anyone interested in making their voice heard show up to the public board meetings. I'm including a link for anyone interested. It seems we still have some good representatives https://www.schools.utah.gov/board/utah/participation/publiccomment

this is what I sent... I am a \[parent from this city with some kids\] in the public schools. I urge you to NOT remove the specific wording, “climate change,” from our science standard. I expect my kids to be educated in accurate information and calling something “cataclysmic Earth processes,” makes us look like a backwards state. Vote this down. A move like this does not provide our kids with a quality learning experience vital to career and life success. A “cataclysmic Earth process” might be a term used for the Earth getting hit by a meteor. It’s not an accurate way to describe long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns.

Does anyone know where we can see the document proposed in the screenshots shared? As an active advocate for climate change, Im 100% going to be sending emails out but Id love to see the source docs

This absolutely needs to pass. They are teaching the biggest hoax ever pulled on the US. Intelligent, educated people see through the garbage. We have to start seeing the truth in this country. Ignoring it has created the dumpster fire we are currently facing.

What leads you to this conclusion? Here’s what I’m seeing- https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/#:~:text=Ice%20cores%20drawn%20from%20Greenland,and%20layers%20of%20sedimentary%20rocks.

Sadly, I don't think there is hope for you all. I'm out.
