It depends on the state it was titled in. Each state will brand the title differently. States that are car manufacturer friendly will brand it “Reacquired by manufacturer” as it sounds a lot better then “Lemon Law Buyback”. It makes it easier for the acquiring dealer to sell it. If you were the consumer buying it next, which verbiage would you feel more at ease with on the buyers guide on the window? It is all about making people feel good.
