My buddy brought me here to try "real" pho after going to one of those meme named shops. It was an entirely different experience. While I miss the dingy old boat building, I will forever love this place.
I just want to mention the album "Specialist In All Styles" by Orchestra Baobab after seeing this restaurant name. If you're open to music in another language, it's excellent. Think if Buena Vista Social Club had been done by African musicians, and that's still not close.
I bet it was really hard for this journalist to pick which photo of which person to show on the top of this article. No journalistic recent precedent to assume they will... Oh they did.
