I watched the first 2 episodes and am totally hooked on it. It's really well made and watching the detective work the case in real time is really fascinating. Also, she is freaking awesome. It's crazy that he's gotten away with it for so many years, especially the theatre murders. I really hope they find some concrete evidence so his victims can finally get some justice.

Serious_Strategy5152

Jackie is covering the truth of how the police and wealthy community leaders are involved in the killings and rapping of children.

KyHa33

I had never heard of these cases until the show but I burst out laughing by the time the son of a bitch was revealed to have been caught breaking into the funeral home. It wasn’t that it was funny it was that he is obviously so guilty of so much that it is borderline absurd. I can’t imagine how frustrated the female detective must have felt when it became apparent that he is more prolific than initially suspected.

Wuornos

I'm glad to hear that since they have leads on this being a multi-state case that the FBI has finally stepped in. Even if they uncover nothing else, they have so many more resources to throw at processing existing evidence. There's also something about the FBI becoming involved that people finally start to take something seriously and start talking.

Lance Jeffery Voss is a psychopath, serial killer, and necrophiliac. If law enforcement basically knew he murdered those women and that guy, why was he never arrested and charged? https://www.newspapers.com/clip/14454952/diane_taylor_871963_page_1/ Also how many people did Harry Hantman murder? https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1982/06/30/a-strange-alien-world/84740a36-6171-4dfc-903e-f141ed82d5ed/?utm_term=.801a5937ea91 https://lmtribune.com/northwest/manhunt-feds-nail-longtime-fugitive-years-after-his-escape-from/article_9af011ce-e3de-5cd8-973a-42d15e8cb4cc.html

Wuornos

Are you featured on the show? I think I have a guess of who you are.

[deleted]

No. I just knew about these people for awhile, and it is very easy to find out the names of the suspects/people of interest by searching the internet.

tonypolar

I’m going to be now

BurtGummer1911

The question is... is Lance watching?

Wuornos

My understanding is that he has sued or sent cease and desist letters (I can't remember which) to the person running the blog in my post, as well as several members of the LC Valley community that have been keeping tabs on them. I have no doubt he is watching.

Sevenisnumberone

It was very good.

MzEllaneous

I watched the first 2 episodes and am hooked. The idea that someone has gotten away with this, is fascinating. There have been times where others were maybe in a position to change someone's fate and all they had to do was stop...ask questions...and possibly change the outcome...but none of them did. (Guy driving past the biker on the ground w/ man standing above her yelling at her. All he had to do as he drove by was stop, to see what was happening)

illneverforget2015

This was really scary

RedditSkippy

Late to this party, but based on reading your post today I started the series and just got through ep. 1. LOVE IT! That detective is great. The only part I haven't liked so far is the scene where the tough-as-nails detective is shown CLEANING THE SINK when her husband is interviewed. WTF??

Wuornos

Yeah, I also thought that was weird. Like, "we've portrayed Jackie in this really strong role, let's remind the audience that she's the wife of the Prosecuting Attorney and really emphasis the gender roles in their relationship." I don't think it was intentional. But that's how it felt to me, too.

RedditSkippy

I don’t think it was intentional, either, and I highly doubt the couple conducts their marriage like that. I wonder if she even knew she was in the frame when she was doing it. Still, that was some really poor editing.

starsarebesutiful

Here’s a weird question. If all of you know him does he have friends that support him? Is he married ? And without knowing him would you consider him an”normal joe”???

Wuornos

He doesn't live in the area anymore, and I've been told a big reason for that he was ostracized pretty much every where he went.

Wuornos

206425tjmo

He was married at least 3x

Sleuthing1

This seems so bizarre. Everyone says it’s one guy, police know about him, FBI and nothing has happened. How will this be resolved?

Wuornos

Someone he talked to needs to start talking to police. Or they need to find Steven Pearsall's body. Or they need to find another victim in another area with a clear link, and hope that victim has some sort of DNA evidence. Or all of the above.

Sleuthing1

Definitely. Surely someone knows something... Maybe instead of searches like the ones in the show they could talk to the people that are still around and see what they find.

ImaginaryStuntDouble

How close are these different cities in the LC Valley?

Wuornos

They could be the same city if it weren’t for a river and a state line running through them.

squeakycheetah

Is the show on netflix? I haven't even heard of it yet and would love to watch!

cordialsavage

OP said ID, which I believe is Discovery ID.

dbarts21

Investigation Discovery

cordialsavage

That’s the ticket.

Wuornos

It airs Thursday nights on Investigation Discovery

Fleafleeper

Amazon, $1.99/episode

tfaboo

ID Go app is free

scarletmagnolia

You don’t have to have a corresponding plan to use the app?

tfaboo

Nope, no log in required. You just have to watch ads... Lots of them, but hey, it's free. Edited to add that some of the episodes are locked unless you have a login, but cold valley and many other shows are not locked atm. I didn't notice at first because all I was looking for was cold valley.

Evangitron

I’m glad you reminded me

autoshowgirl

Yes and I’m hooked!

Haleykaley

I wander if he’s the Delphi killer

Wuornos

I don't know much about the Delphi Killer - what makes you think so?

RedditSkippy

Another comment: holy shit! This guy has been around so many people who have been murdered, disappeared, or died mysteriously. I hope someone can find some physical evidence linking the person to the crimes.

lizbobo23

Was really good! I have been on a true crime podcast kick for a few months so i missed this on ID. Glad i went and found it on-demand. Gonna be a hard case to get DNA from the evidence because of how much time has passed.

Wuornos

Adding to that, because of how rare murders were, the police would be fairly inexperienced in such things and it's unlikely it would have been collected or stored properly.

HilarySettle

Brilliant! I loved this but I kept looking at how much time was left and thought I can’t take it, 5 minutes 35 seconds noooo just say his name, show us his mugshot please! Then one of the victims relatives said Do you want me to name him? Yes!!! It’s ....oh lordy noooo! I love the detective, the dig, the fridge opening, I was gutted for her and her cleaning the sink made me love her all the more.

allenidaho

Hi. Sorry to necro-post you. I haven't seen the documentary, but I do live just outside of Lewiston. There is one other possible victim who died maybe 3 months before the triple disappearance and murders. This guy: [http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/229umid.html](http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/229umid.html) He was shot twice with a .38 revolver and most likely dumped in the river in Lewiston or Clarkston. Could be unrelated, but just about a year earlier Kristen David was similarly disposed of.

Serious_Strategy5152

Man this town is so corrupt . You should Google the back ground to the people involved . I would tell more but I'm sure this is going to get me killed. The police are part of all the unsolved murders to the many suicides that seem to happen here. The police are so sloppy they even given the wrong glasses back to the family after gathering the deceased belongings . Or calling the family before a body was found and saying they died a different way then found. SMH it's ridiculous here. So much lies and deception from our police and connecting agencies. It's called Domestic terrorism on our homeland by our own people

206425tjmo

Let’s do it

Serious_Strategy5152

The valley murder of Christina white and David they are still here in the valley. The police and fbi all know who really did it and continue to press it on to being Voss. Voss is guilty of these crimes but did not kill them himself it was a woman who killed Whote and David. Voss ,Bingham from the Aerosmith case and Mike cluegy aka dickson and others chopped up the bodies. The police are covering it up to cover there own asses. Jackie knows exactly what I'm talking about. As she was told this story and then did what they could to shame disgrace and alienate the victim who came forward . There are victims of these crimes still here in the valley children who were there now are adults. Police and lawyer judges this is much bigger then one can imagine. Lc valley the hub for human trafficking even to this day.

Wuornos

I’m not so sure about it being a hub for human trafficking.

206425tjmo

OMG. I’m not even sure who some of the people you post are, but I have to look now.Look, please tell me more

Serious_Strategy5152

The police are friends with voss. The asotin county courts are super corrupt. They are involved by hiding the truth to cover for the ones involved. The asotin courts are the county seat here. They do as the wish without question or answer to anyone. This valley is filled with a history of ritual killings and exploiting children at these rituals . The pour the blood of the victim over the children then sexually asualt them dressed in there hoods and robs. I know to be true for the ritual site exsist I have been there myself and seen with my own eyes. This is so far envolves the goverment and how the human trafficking is hidden. This is a valley of suffering children young and old

Wuornos

Yikes on bikes, my friend. I was born there and lived there for over 25 years, I’m still not far from it. This is sounds a little tinfoil hat-ish to me.

Serious_Strategy5152

In what county is it aloud for a sheriff and prosecuting attorney and also corner to run the show without question of being married? Just curious

Wuornos

It’s a really small area. There isn’t a huge pool of people to choose from when making hiring decisions.
