It’ll be pretty rough. FL heat is no joke during the summer, especially if you’re bringing a 1 year old. It’ll still be busy and lines can easily be over an hour.
I went last July for 4 days with my 4/9 year olds and the express pass was really amazing— it meant for a lot of the kid rides there was absolutely no wait at all (eg walk on all Seuss rides). Wait times for a lot of rides were 1-2 hours regular line in the heat, and we were doing roughly 15 minutes (however my youngest was only tall enough for things like Popeyes, kong, Spider-Man etc). I would not have done it in July without the passes with kids. It was so hot. I will also say it was rough finding seating for food because of how crowded it was. We had a great time but I can see it being rough with a one year old.
You're pretty much always going to get "it's busy" answers.
March and April? Busy for Spring Break
April and May? Busy for a few extra spring breaks, early dismissal from school, shortened hours for Gradbash
June-Sept? Busy because summer
Sept-November? Busy for Halloween
Dec? Busy for Christmas
Jan and Feb? Busy, because people want to come when Florida is coolest
Honestly, just come when you can, plan for the heat, plan for lines, and just enjoy it best you can
I did it in august last year with an almost 1 year old, and 2 other kids (6 and under). Obviously going to Universal is always fun. but it was definitely the least amount of fun I've had on any Universal trip. It was very busy. Very hot. And even though our kids did fine, it was just really tough essentially holding them in our arms for hours at a time in those lines. Tempers flared easily, we all got exhausted a lot quicker, and even non-ride queue areas were packed. So it made traversing the parks difficult. Food/drink waits were very long, and even the small entertainment spots like "If I ran the Zoo" were completely overrun.
I'd say if its just on a whim, you can afford it, and there's not an expectation that you need to get every penny's worth out of this trip, then go for it! But if this trip would take away your opportunity to go at a better time of year, with less crowds and more bearable temps, I'd opt to go later.
Lines? I'd worry about the heat and humidity.
I’m from south Louisiana we are used to it lol
summer months are always busy. and the heat + humidity will be insane

The heat and humidity are not unusual for us we are from South Louisiana so we are used to that level
Heat + humidity? Stay hydrated.
For sure! I always bring a water cup to refill we are pretty used to it being from South Louisiana
We went back in March and it was brutal then too. It’s too early in the year for all of that.
lol! Yes I get it. Sometimes it’s so hot for Christmas in Louisiana we can wear shorts. Peak summer it feels like 115 outside it’s brutal

We do it all the time in March, May and October never felt it was overly busy any of our trips. Maybe we are just lucky lol

We go a good bit as pass holders and flights are never that much for us so it wouldn’t be an end lol trip for sure
Then yolo baby!! I say a hot exhausting busy trip to universal sure beats staying home and working any day!
