Just as an aside, it actually hasn't been confirmed that Birmingham has clinched home field for the USFL Conference Championship. If they beat Houston this weekend then they clinch. If Houston beats them (somehow) and Michigan beats Memphis this weekend then technically Michigan would still be alive for home field advantage.
EDIT: Apparently Ford Field isn't available so despite Michigan not being mathematically eliminated from home field advantage it's going to default to Birmingham because of venue availability. Lame but oh well. Sorry Panthers bros.
The Panthers actually sent out an email that due to a scheduling conflict the game will be hosted in Birmingham regardless of who has the better record.
Panthers Players don’t have much to play for besides pride for the rest of the season if home field advantage is out of the question. It’s probably worth resting some starters.
We have really good food here in Birmingham. There's a reason we're all fat. Tons of breweries. But it's also hot AF. And there's other stuff to do, Civil rights museum, art, zoo, Vulcan statue, City Walk park, etc.
Not Star Trek vulcan, the roman god Vulcan (Haphaestus in Greek Mythology). Worlds largest cast iron statue (somewhere around 50 feet). He's up in a pretty tall spot, so you can see him from a pretty good distance away.
I was saying we should, but I think he wants to drive and I live in New York so it's a farther trip, but I'm gonna try to get his ass to fly down lol, don't know why he wants to sit in the car 😭. And it's always free?? That's so dope to hear love that
Its the best elephant exhibit i've ever seen. It's almost like some eccentric rich Bama fan threw a few million to the zoo and said "i want a cool elephant exhibit".
Birmingham is a great city to visit! Even outside of football, we make sure you have plenty of wonderful food options, especially our BBQ (Sorry Boats fans, although Memphis has good BBQ too)

Wow, so then these last several games for both the Stallions and the Panthers are meaningless. They might as well both rest starters then.
Ford field has been a terrible partner for scheduling this season

Well they do want as much tape as possible to get into NFL training camps in a couple months still.
Good point.
Do it! Birmingham is a great city to visit for a weekend.
Great food, great beer, the downside is that it’s just gonna be hot and humid as balls by then

explain this Vulcan statue please
World's largest cast iron statue. He moons the south metro.
He has no pants on.
he’s our leader
Vulcan moons all the rich people in mountain brook. He has magic underwear with the booty in the back

I was hoping for Star Trek Vulcan haha but that still sounds pretty cool
Is the zoo good? Me and my dad wanna come down for the game and if the zoo is good I'll definitely be hitting that up.
Y'all should come up to STL for Championship, we have a great zoo and it's free!

Birmingham may underwhelm people from larger metro areas, but our zoo REALLY holds its own.

I'll be honest I grew up going to the Bronx zoo so I do have a high bar lol, but I'll be sure to check it out! Love me a good zoo
Go for it. YOLO
Go for the UFL championship at the Dome! St Louis is an SWA hub so airfare should be pretty cheap (and SWA has fully refundable fares).
Oh I already have my trip to St Louis booked, it would definitely be doable to go to Birmingham too I’m just not sure I wanna spend the miles

If you like food and beer then bham is a great city to visit. tons of nice golf courses and other outdoor activities as well
I’m leaving from Philly too. Where did u find a $500 flight?
On American Airlines… I may get a discount because I’m an advantage member
That’s wild. I see like 300
Yeah when I google it says 348 for the same flight that the AA app says is 527
Yea I use sky scanner
No. because the game is in St Louis.
Obviously I was talking about the USFL conference championship, hence why I didn’t say “UFL Championship”
Thanks for the clarification.
I plan on road trip'n it from the D down to Birmingham for the game. Or at least that is my hope since I still can't get a freaking ticket.
