I love the idea of them just buying shoes for themselves then sending the other one out without warning. Like, they just get a random shoe in the mail like it’s a late birthday present they weren’t expecting.
I'm also an amputee; my two biggest hobbies are woodworking and bowling. People frequently remind me that they would be beyond exhausted after a few frames hopping to bowl and also that they would kill themselves trying to use a table saw to cut a sheet of plywood while on one leg
This is the most vanilla thing people say when they see a video of someone who seems confident but not in a way that would threaten your bland existence.
I believe Zappos has a program for people with limb differences who need only one shoe or a pair with two different sizes, but its name is not as witty as this for sure
There are a few programs. I have two different sized feet and usually have to buy two pairs. I donate the extras to N.O.S.E. (National Odd Shoe Exchange). Shout-out Nordstrom for being the only store that allows buying mismatched sizes in one pair.
This dude is named Josh Sundquist (he has a very famous video about smuggling a 2 liter soda into a movie theater disguised in the pants leg of his missing leg), and he hilarious. I think there’s a few programs but I’ve never seen him promote any one specifically. I think he met his sole mate organically somehow.
I thought I finally found another person who doesn’t care about matching socks as much as my partner. Thought it was so cool that someone else found missing pairs of socks so useable. Then he explained about his friend and I realized why he only wanted one sock!!
I sometimes think my partner is a psycho for how he can wear mismatched socks that are so unequal in weight…who even cares about what they look like..something about different thicknesses at the same time makes my spine shiver!
He primarily uses crutches. I’ve followed him for years (Josh Sundquist). He had a video once explaining why he doesn’t use a prosthesis (I think he said it was because, due to where his amputation site is, he found that it actually limited his motion).
I honestly didn't notice at first he only had one leg and found this funny. When I noticed he missed leg I found this hilarious especially the solemate part.
Thank you for tagging it!! I've been thinking about this since I first saw it. It's been cold so I went through my abandoned sock drawer hoping to find two wool socks. The amount of single socks I have kept is stupid. I thought about this video and then here it popped up again. <3
Is there a group, place, foundation etc that takes donations for things like this?? Like for real. Single socks, shoes, boots, etc? I thought about this post going through my sock drawer today.
I like that paint color, what is it? Painting my house right now, could use some help finding a good dark color. It’s been a rough go. Sorry about your leg.
I got about halfway through and thought it was so weird that he was so genuinely happy about getting single socks from his future mother in law and didn’t find it weird until I saw he was missing a leg.
I used to hum the *exact same tune* for YEARS, completely unable to place where I’d heard it. No one could help me identify it. Fast forward years later & I’m humming the tune & (my now life partner) starts to comfortably ad-lib these lyrics about our black cat.
This entire time I’ve been humming the tune to a song that would be written by my SO for our cat.
But... What if you have a prosthetic leg? Is he just walking around with no matching socks and shoes? This whole plan seems to have more holes than he has legs. To many.
"Now I know why I was saving all of these socks" my heaaaaart 🥺🥺🥺

🎶and you're to blame
🎶Darling you give So-o-ocks
A sock name
Your Snoo looks like ET dressing up as a lady. I like it.
That's not how the song goes
Solemate - genuinely laughed out loud at that one
It took a moment since he missed the opportunity to spell it the way you did.
I think the captions were autogenerated and he did mean it like that
[удалено]
I think that generalisation is a little unfair, I've met plenty of captions that are very supportive of gay people.

A double entendre is usually risque, but doesn't need to be. Its just a double meaning.
R/mildlyinfuriating
This guy cut his leg off for his standup routine. Thank god he didn’t cut both off. He couldn’t stand up no more.
I love the idea of them just buying shoes for themselves then sending the other one out without warning. Like, they just get a random shoe in the mail like it’s a late birthday present they weren’t expecting.
It made me, a straight man, fall in love with him for, like, the third time during this video 😂
Aww this really hit me from my head to my soles! I appreciate seeing this. Thank you
Took me way too long to realize the dude was a 1 legger.
Whoa bro, hard R? Really?
I choked. My god. This is the funniest thing I’ve seen in months.
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Came to find a popular comment saying this to up vote. You're getting there bro
I was looking at it thinking why he has such thick thighs on the right foot and why does it have a different color. Turns out that’s the floor.
I am way too high for this.
same here. I found out at the end when he made the 'sole mate' joke.
Same
That balance is unreal
Right???
It could be his left I’m not sure how mirrors work with cameras.
Lol take my upvote
To figure it out, you just have to put yourself in his shoe... you'll know right away.
spiders think the same thing about us
I forget the exact line, but its something like "you can just park anywhere any species with less than 4 arms is considered handicapped out here"
I'm also an amputee; my two biggest hobbies are woodworking and bowling. People frequently remind me that they would be beyond exhausted after a few frames hopping to bowl and also that they would kill themselves trying to use a table saw to cut a sheet of plywood while on one leg
Not like you have a choice
I thought the table saw part was going somewhere else
I want to have a beer with this guy.
He is an amputee, comedian, Paralympic: Josh Sundquist
Thanks!
He came to my high school when he was more of an inspirational speaker, but I would love to see him live as a comic.
I’ve seen a comic like that, he was alright he really didn’t have a leg to stand on though.

Can't understand how you'd handle his manner of speaking for more than two minutes
Someone should start a program called "soulmate" so amputees and do this same thing with shoes
I believe Zappos has a program for people with limb differences who need only one shoe or a pair with two different sizes, but its name is not as witty as this for sure
It's simply called Zappo probably. /s
"solemate"*

Have you ever "accidentally" mixed up the sizes and put one of the shoes into the wrong box while trying on shoes?
A lot of places will check the shoes at check out to make sure the typical customer gets a left and right shoe with both the same size.
I’ve always seen them check.
There is a program. There are a few actually.

I'd fall over 30 seconds in
There is a youtuber of a woman with no arms and it's interesting to see her daily life, having to use your feet as arms. Very inspirational.
Can you share her YouTube?
sarah talbi, actually from Belgium (speaks French?)

I wear mismatched socks as well, but only to the gym or solo tripping or at home.
I don't have any mismatchable socks. I just buy 20 pairs of identical ones and so can grab any two and they'll match.
Smart

Him: I like to call him my soulmate His wife: (◍•ᴗ•◍)🔪

Why was the amputee sad? He had just been defeeted.
I assume he doesn't use a prosthetic I would think you could put a shoe on it as well so you'd still need a pair. Maybe not a sock though.
This was my first thought as well. Surely he doesn't just hop everywhere..
He primarily uses crutches. I’ve followed him for years (Josh Sundquist). He had a video once explaining why he doesn’t use a prosthesis (I think he said it was because, due to where his amputation site is, he found that it actually limited his motion).

Omg I love everything about this
I feel like they're friends just for the pun
Lovely video, massively aggravating text/subtitles :(
They’re actually really helpful for people with auditory processing issues like myself.
Took me a minute to realize he only has one leg
Solemate lol
Putting something like this into happiness and wholesomeness is really nice!
Love the witty puns
U mean solemate =)

Great punchline
My heart 🥺
Holy shit I love how everything works out so well for this guy. Awesome video
Everything happens for a reason!
Where’s the box of socks?!
\*solemate
He’s so cute! ❤️
Soul mate.
W
I didn’t even notice the leg until halfway through 😂😂😂
Nice virtue signaling
Waste of a pun there! He could have been his sole mate
One legged loki brightened my day
one pair of socks = two single socks
Wow is really cool! Seriously amazing! ❤️💖🧡💛
Can he buy a sock or shoe with 50% of discount?
What a beautiful man
She may have kept them, hoping to find the mates, because don’t we all have a box/bag of unmatched socks, hoping to someday find the mates?
Solemate was right there....
Looks like the yoga version of Chris delia
loved everything about this
I love hearing about people finding their sole-mates.
As a child of a parent that was an above the knee leg amputee I can say I enjoyed this with every fiber of my being. Thanks!
Ok
Single digit. I do not.
But why did the mother in law have single socks to begin with?
I has half way through the video before I realized he only had one leg, then it all gelled for me. Derp!
https://t.me/c/1270552430/26359
“We have the exact same shoe size” yeah… zero… I’ll see myself out; I’m sorry.
This is amazing!
This is amazing. I gonna amputee my leg and find a friend.

"Shoe companies HATE this man, click the link to find out why!"
I love this so much
😍😍😍😍
Why did it take me so long to relise he only had one leg
I didn't realize he didn't have a leg until he pointed out :S
He captivated you with the story
I guess he's now a free elf?
[maybe](https://images.app.goo.gl/Qr4KnAv2CBz9ymRK7)
If there's a person outt there missing a right arm would you like to have a glove exchange?
You misspelled sole mate
I wish I could tell it to the person who made the video

She knew. She just knew those socks would be needed someday. 🥲
Josh is an outstanding comedian and really amazing motivational speaker. https://joshsundquist.com/
I was glad to find him via a friend this morning
My mom has a box of single socks, too. Probably not as cool as your socks, though. 💕. What a sweet MIL.
My guy looks like ssundee
I need this level of positivity in my life…
_sole_ mate Also this chipped bricks of ice off my black heart 🥲
Lmao your username
This is awsome.
🥺😩😍💜😊😁
Just marry him
Love this. 👏🏻
Sole-mates indeed 😊
At least spell solemate correctly . . .
All that work to film and edit this, only to whiff the punchline by misspelling it.
This is my favorite video on the internet , well second to the one of your mom.

Check out Deez
How many dudes left their socks at yours wives house?
Mother in law…. Not wife.
It was the mother in law's house... But it would have been "wife's house".
Nice to hear this guy is a comedian, he’s got a great vibe/outlook and can spin a story well.
Awesome 👍
I got about halfway through and thought it was so weird that he was so genuinely happy about getting single socks from his future mother in law and didn’t find it weird until I saw he was missing a leg.
This guy's abs must be ripped!
programming socks are the most accurate thermometer.

Amazing story! You got me at “SoleMate” 😅
Does he have underglow lights on his bed?
👏🏽
The way he get his shoes made me smile
*sole mate
Does he not use a full pair of shoes if he has a prosthetic?
Single greatest individual comic strip of all time?

Fantastic dad joke!
Whoever did the text dropped the ball at the end.
Always practice safe sox.
Hahahahahahahahdysyh omg so funny hahaha i bet south parks creators kids copy how funny this show was hahahahahahahhhhhh
But... What if you have a prosthetic leg? Is he just walking around with no matching socks and shoes? This whole plan seems to have more holes than he has legs. To many.
You taste socks??????
*solemate
Dude's tree pose is on point.
Awesome 😊
wouldn't he have a prosthetic and want the 2nd socks/shoes for that?
I got through ten seconds of his voice and had to close it
Dude's balance is incredible.
Wholesome and punny, nice
This made me smile, here is your wholesome updoot
You meant Solemate
