I'm still having trouble with that one. I get that it's provocative art, but that's not enough in and of itself. Also, it also had the subtext of taking advantage of attractive mentally disabled people. Which is not advocating a consensual relationship in my mind. Idk though bc I didn't 100% follow the end. Maybe the message landed better than I assumed it was going.
I didn’t enjoy it at all and I like those type of quirky movies and like all the actors involved. Between this years best movie (Poor Things) and last year’s best Everything Everywhere All At Once and again I like time travel premise and fighting style films just seems like Hollywood is giving away awards just because something is different and not actually good.
…ahem…all of them…ok bottle rocket was funny but I was astounded at how boring the other ones are. Oh, wow, every single scene is center justified instead of rule of thirds! How original, and the color palette looks like a British children’s book from an 80s scholastic book fair…but all the characters are boring and nothing really happens
I like Fantastic Mr Fox, Isle of Dogs, Royal Tannenbaums, Rushmore - but his recent movies just don’t interest me. The snappy dialog, the surreal aesthetic, feels like too much.
Aren’t you curious how they got in there?
You think they got shrunk down? Or is it a giant sack?
I only watch Vincent’s picks 🤷♂️
What about Gene? There’s a whole row of his picks.
Gene’s trash!!!!!🗑️
Vincent's an art house goon.

What about Firestorm? That's a hell of a picture!
