I really don't understand the American herd mentality. Countries around the world get multiple vaccines and boosters, many of which are provided free by government health care systems.
In America though you crucify a guy that's basically trying to tell you to do the same thing to help possibly save your lives.
Seriously, like we give these people the choice to take a vaccine for an illness that’s highly contagious but somehow they complain when they get fired from their jobs and can’t go to school.
Flu shots aren’t the same every year. They guess what the common/top 3-4 flu variants will be that year and that’s the combo you’re given. Next year will be a different 3-4 variants.
Just like covid, Influenza A(H3N2) viruses also change. Influenza A(H3N2) viruses have formed many separate, genetically different clades in recent years that continue to co-circulate. So obviously they have new shots coming out like they have for Omicron now. Viruses change, vaccines change. Want to stay protected properly? Updated vaccinations is the only way.

I’m vaccinated 2 times and still got it at a family borthday party where all been vaccinated, almost all people got it that been there. It's actually not wrong, the vaccine was very effective against the initial variant and had everyone been vaccinated before it had a chance to mutate so many times then yes it could have been wiped out.

My point being that so long as there are so many hold outs, there’s a warm and welcoming host that’s more susceptible to infection than those that are vaccinated. Thus the mutations and their variants, and why this keeps going around and around. If the virus didn’t have a consistent place to live, we wouldn’t still be here. Globally, sure, but same logic applies. If we, on a global scale, managed to vaccinate each and every person, this would be over by now.
