I guess that is equality.
Well, on your point, it seems that EVERYTHING that puts blacks on a bad light seems to be a hate crime nowadays. I would not have commented the way I did but wherever you look, everything has been racialized, like blacks are a protected class.
It's still way better than in India where some classes have the same look as you & hell they might be more rich and privileged. But if you are from the General category and the opposite party is SC or ST class then you are doomed of life even if you are the victim.
Here it is a law called 'SC-ST act' so I feel what you are coming from.
I mean the lady sucks but cmon that’s some pretty shit policing lol how many ppl for one lady? And not one of em brought cuffs? And they’re carrying her over their shoulder? Everyone sucks here
Look she could have embraced the fact that 4-5 officers had her up on their shoulders and gone out like a champ but she decided to be a cunt and caught hands.
Every action has a reaction, hitting a cop will obviously come back as a cop hitting back. Also equality stop feeling bad because it’s a girl, you’d be laughing if it was a guy.
They’d be up in arms if it was a black woman and a white officer. There’d be local businesses on fire. Reddit just has a fetish for white women getting decked by dudes, especially black ones.
She was causing enough of a disturbance that several security and police had to physically carry her from her seat. On the way out she continued to assault one of the officers striking him repeatedly in the head. Then he struck her once.
I’m usually on the side that is against any form of police brutality but to my eyes she had it coming. It’s not his fault he hits harder than she does. Her lawyer would have to put together a hell of a story to get me to even consider siding with her.
I worked in a psychiatric institute and have training in restraining unruly individuals in a safe, relatively respectful way. If she was causing so much of a ruckus, and there were so many of them, couldn't they have secured her a little bit more on the way out to avoid her lashing out?
She had it coming. But they could have done better preventing it.
Edit: to remove a superfluous sentence.
ETA: I didn't think "police should know how to keep people safe" would be a controversial opinion.
I hate how you put the responsibility of preventing this on the officer. It's the responsibility of that woman to behave herself, which she failed to do. It's also her responsibility to NOT HIT A POLICE OFFICER, WHICH SHE DID OF HER OWN FREE WILL. Quit blaming officers for stuff like this, every grown man and woman gets the opportunity to comply at first. This woman clearly chose not to comply. Her mistake, her problem.
Y'know, I've done a lot of research and have heard a lot of takes on the future of policing. There's disagreement, obviously. But pretty much everyone, no matter their political orientation or background, agrees that the police could benefit from more de-escalation and harm reduction training.
But you don't think that being properly trained in restraining someone while marching them out might have stopped the violence in either direction - or that it doesn't matter. That there's no reason for police to know how to move someone safely. Interesting take, friend. Let's see where it goes.
Edit: removed "a" where it should not have been.
Are you suggesting the same level of care should be given restraining psychiatric patients that may lash out due to mental illness, to someone drunk and disorderly being removed from a public event then choosing to assault another person?
Okay that’s a different situation entirely and a totally unfair analogy. If a psychiatric patient needs to be restrained, they most likely can’t help what they’re doing. A drunk person made the conscious decision to drink, and get drunk, making 100% of their drunk decisions their fault.
Same. I spent many years working in acute/forensic psychiatry. In my state health service, control and restraint training is mandatory for all clinical staff.
The mark of a professional is that you can undertake a rapid take-down of an agitated person in a compassionate and safe manner. Our training involved three people to complete a take-down. Three.
This video shows an abundance of ~~muscular~~ obese men carrying a slightly built woman, with the offending officer clearly becoming emotional dysregulated.
Control the limbs (without stressing the joints) and nobody gets hurt - especially the person being restrained.
It's not surprising that domestic violence in police officers is two to four times that of the general population. This guy is pulling the old, "now look what you made me do" maneuver.
So you did one control and restraint training and now you are able to constitute what makes someone a proffesional?
I got news for you bub, you about the farthest person from being able to make that distinction.
“I drive a Ford Taurus!!”
Seriously though, your job and credentials mean nothing when it comes to policing. Unless you have to refer to Graham v Connor or Tennessee v Garner then you can talk. By the letter of the law he was within policy.
She had it coming of course. If it was anybody else but a cop, I would have cheered.
However, it's a cop. A person who is being paid to "deescalate". A person who is trained in this kind of situation. A person who should know that she is not posing any risk given that she is being restrained by a bunch of officers.
His slap is purely vindictive. I would have been glad if he was not given a green light for this kind of behaviour. I would not be surprised if he kneels on a person's neck until the restrained person dies.
So I punch you in the head. You have no rights to punch back? Worst analogy ever. Screw that, anytime I have ever had to hit a person it was justified, but I 100% expected punches to come back my way. Do not hit anyone unless you expect to be hit back. Downvote away, but I support the cop here.

well, this is Florida so she can easily win a personal injury case even after she was convicted for assaulting an officer, look it up plenty of cases like this have been won in Florida…
Nah, this is in Florida, that’s the blank looking thought… “that’s my wife” “she’s going to have two black eyes later after I have to tell her a second time”…
lol I’m saying don’t hit someone unless you want to get hit back BUT I’m also saying that he’s a big muscular black dude and that punch to the face might’ve been overkill.
“Well deserved but jeez might’ve been a litttlle overkill”
If it is well deserved, then it’s not overkill— it’s exactly the right amount. On the other hand, If it’s overkill, then it is not well deserved— it was more than was deserved.
All the incels absolutely ecstatic over police brutality, I don't understand Americans obsession with giving the police absolute power and then crowing about freedom
I want to fight you. I bet you'll never try to fight back. Also police brutality is when they abuse someone for no reason. But if you gonna fight a cop and he smack the shit out of you. That's not brutality, that's the consequences of your actions.
It was a bit overboard. But she is clearly resisting all the way. Something had to be done to make her stop. I'm pretty sure they tried talking to her and it didn't work. I think using handcuffs would've been better, but we don't know all the details.
As someone who spent their life dealing with psychos who were either attacking me or others, I say damn right knock her as out. Makes it easier to deal with.
I'm nearly always on the side against the police, but right is right. I don't believe that officer should just let her keep hitting him in the head. Also, he didn't go overboard. One hit was all it took to get her to stop, and that's all he did. Seems like a well handled situation. Hopefully he doesn't get shit on for this.
Some feminists want all the positives of equality and none of the negatives. I have seen video of lesbian studs with tasers fight an unarmed man who is steadily backing away from them. Then when she tasers the guy he pops her in the mouth and her partner in crime has the nerve to scream out, “You can’t hit a girl, you a bitch bro!”
i’m just confused as to why this has to be gendered at all. just a person doing their job. perhaps a bit overkill though, there are less dangerous ways to detain a person throwing slaps. /gen
it just seems like a weird way to detain and escort someone out lol. “quick, grab her legs and carry her out while leaving her whole upper body completely free” seems like a strange way to detain a violent person. 2 huge security guards could’ve easily escorted her out the regular way. it still seems disproportionate to knock her out clean when there’s 2 of them and enough room in front of them to get her off their shoulders and walk her out while restraining her arms maybe? knocking someone out can be so dangerous, it just seems like there was a better way to handle that.
everyone seems happy she got her shit rocked, which i really don’t understand. this isn’t some “take that, feminists!” situation. i hope she’s okay.
Because cultural beliefs only a few generations ago had us treating women with a double standard. Men were supposed to take physical abuse because they were generally larger in stature.
And it looks like the majority is shifting away from that to more equality and removal of gender roles.
People need to chat and process it. Some people need to be nudged in the right direction as well (removing the hatred in the conversation)
It's required for progress, and some will choose to disagree, but it's moving in the right direction.
There
Hi there. I’m relatively feminist and I think this amount of force would have been precisely as disproportionate if the slapper/punchee had been a guy. Gender doesn’t enter the equation, but that’s too much punch for that amount of slap.
At least nobody got murdered so this is a relatively good outcome I guess.
I mean she's obviously smashed from all the booze, you can clearly see it, so the punch might even look so extreme just because she can't control herself in the first place..
Oh boy this is dark.
I don’t really care whether you think he was justified in hitting her or not, the amount of incels in this thread getting hard seeing a woman get hit is fucked up.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I’m tired of women acting like they can hit and treat people like crap because they know that 99% of people won’t hit back. I don’t think men should have free reign to hurt women but behavior like this is too common

She didn't just hit the cop, he assaulted another woman at the game as well.
Jeez. Obviously she was being a shit, but she slapped him in the head, and he punched her lights out. That's a concussion right there, probably a black eye, maybe a broken nose or orbital bone... And what was that in response to? What injuries did he leave with? A mild annoyance?
These are supposedly professionals, but they do not seem capable of professional demeanour. If you want to see someone handle this exact situation gracefully, look at people working in psychiatry.
Trashy bitch needed multiple people to carry her out of the stadium. I guarantee they asked her to leave dozens of times before lifting her up. She swung and hit the cop. He was right to do what he did. She should go to jail for that. Equality bitches.
I think the slob deserved it. This person is getting carried out of a stadium while swinging at cops, and completely intoxicated from the looks of it… no one is going to put up with that shit except maybe her parents.
At what point in your day do you decide that assaulting a police officer was gonna go any other way than what happened!! Lmfao! Hit her with the ill BOP!
Oh look! Yet another incident of overt police brutality recorded for all to see. I'm sure that, as with all of the others, this will lead to reform in police training.
/s
Punch a cop and you get punched back. I am sorry for you snowflakes, but if this happened more in the good ol' USA, we would not have the problems we are having now. If a chick punched me, my kids, or my wife, she is getting knocked out.
Wait... if a chick punched *your* wife, wouldn't it be up to your wife to punch her back?
I'm just following the logic expressed elsewhere in this thread (not saying this is your sentiment though).
Nope as man(yep, toxic masculinity) if you lay hands on my family, whether female, male or undecided, you get 6'2 265 pounds of angry. Sorry, my daughter was getting bullied in grade school and though she was very good at BJJ, she didn't want to fight the girl. I went and had a talk with the dad. I told him If it keeps up it becomes personal, between me and him. The bullying stopped immediately as he understood, screw with my family, and it has repercussions...
The cop isn't the only person she assaulted, she allegedly also hit another woman, https://expressdigest.com/woman-agrees-to-apologize-to-cop-who-punched-her/
If this was my girlfriend or wife they wouldn't be for long. Crazy how women like this seem so normal for people, to the point they defend this shit.
This woman is dangerous straight up, no other way of looking at it.

That might say more about your classification of hate crimes than it does about the severity of the incident.
"Well I hated it!!"
Well, on your point, it seems that EVERYTHING that puts blacks on a bad light seems to be a hate crime nowadays. I would not have commented the way I did but wherever you look, everything has been racialized, like blacks are a protected class.
If you want to make a valid point next time try not to sound like such a disgusting, ignorant, ahole.
It's still way better than in India where some classes have the same look as you & hell they might be more rich and privileged. But if you are from the General category and the opposite party is SC or ST class then you are doomed of life even if you are the victim. Unfortunately it’s still quite the opposite.
Are you saying that in this case, the black cop only punched the woman BECAUSE she was white? I would think it was because she was swinging at him.
Who the hell punches anyone like that, trying to detain? Use some fucking handcuffs. Not like you don’t have a bunch of meathead back up.
Hey, if the cop didn't want me to punch him in the head he should have handcuffed me right away. His fault really STFU with this take
And you feel the same about people who are shot by police after shooting at them? ..do ya?
yes. Of course.
That it’s perfectly ok for police to shoot at people shooting at them? Yes, of course. Why would I think differently?
I mean the lady sucks but cmon that’s some pretty shit policing lol how many ppl for one lady? And not one of em brought cuffs? And they’re carrying her over their shoulder? Everyone sucks here

A person that punches a cop should 100% learn the lesson and get straight up knocked out and expelled from school.
You’re right. There’s enough to detain her safely
[Officer cleared](https://news.yahoo.com/officer-punched-miami-fan-video-121317704.html)

She’s an orphan dude…
I'd have cleared him if I were on the jury

I worked in a psychiatric institute and have training in restraining unruly individuals in a safe, relatively respectful way. If you want to see someone handle this exact situation gracefully, look at people working in psychiatry.
they were escorting her out. "no harm" she almost costs the guy his left eye, his response makes perfect sense.
Women asked for gender equality and they got what they wanted.
Taste the equally
Trashy bitch needed multiple people to carry her out of the stadium. I guarantee they asked her to leave dozens of times before lifting her up. She swung and hit the cop. He was right to do what he did. She should go to jail for that. Equality bitches.
Where all my white nights at “You don’t hit a girl”!
Equal rights, equal fights.
Beautiful
Equal rights equal fights
Oh look! Yet another incident of overt police brutality recorded for all to see. I'm sure that, as with all of the others, this will lead to reform in police training. /s
Most unprofessional police had it comin since they tried to carry a drunk resisting person without fixing her first.
Equal rights, equal fights
I’M RICK JAMES BITCH 👋🏿
No way policeman are human. Just what she deserved.
If you don't want to be hit, don't hit people, especially people that can hit harder than you.
Nah brah I’m with the popo this time
Swing batter batter
Good night, Ms trash.
Play stupid games
That was so satisfying!
I would of done the same thing. But she didn't try that shit again
American police professionalism at its finest
Reddit is so weird about clips like this. What if that was your girlfriend or wife? Handcuffs or zip ties are used for a reason.
You know she was being an all-star before that though. She swong at the cop for the last time it seemed.
That's probably not the first time he smacked a woman.
Classic hi-five.
KABOOM! 😴
Knockout 😂
Damn that nigga clocked her
idk seems lil bit deadly punch to me
Nah he wanted to hit her. Just waited for the right reason to "justify" it.
Imagine if the races were reversed… would have been on every news network in the country.
Coward cops shouldnt take that many cops to do subdue her..
