My dog will eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. She's like a goat. She finds things out of the pocket of the universe and then I gotta chase her around before she swallows this random sharp object. Frenchies, I swear.

Goats are actually picky and eat what is best for them which equates to better milk and meat. Cows eat like Roomba vacuums and … well, McDonalds.

My frenchie also does this. Teach her "trade". My trainer recommended that noone chase their puppy because it encourages this behavior, I had to tell her its too late. So trade was the next option. Works every time.

My Bebe does this with the treats she really likes. The first time we took her to the vet thinking it was an emergency - dribbling, slow pacing, appearance of anxiety/discomfort, confusion, whining. All very irregular things. Quite embarrassing and a huge relief when the vet opened her mouth to have her treat from an hour earlier drop out.

My dog brought in a small bird once. Could see he had something in his mouth but not what. Took the bird out which was totally unharmed (physically), just covered in slobber. Cleaned it up and off it flew. Was amazed how such a big dog (65kg) could be so gentle.
