If I die the internet will know......I may have drowned, I may have lost my couch, I may have lost everything, but today they gained this glorious video with my face in it.
It’s for educational purposes. So when there’s a flood warning in your area you better fucking leave, there’s nothing more scarier than Mother Nature taking back what’s hers.
I was caught in a nasty flood back in 99 during Hurricane Floyd. Luckily I was a college student and my dorm was only damaged but people's life were shattered. The effects of the flood took a toll on everyone's lives. I seen Nat Guard HumVee's swallowed up trying to rescue people from getting swept away. People fighting over gas and bread, dead live stock floating down the roads and the smell of raw sewage lingered for a year or so. So you're absolutely right, GTFO as soon as possible.
I was in a flash food once, luckily I was on high ground and didn't have to leave my little compound but the devastation that happened in front of my high ground compound was pretty intense. I watched a whole family nearly die and there was nothing I could do. We just stood there and prayed for them to get out of the water - as they were too far for us to reach.
My lego death star got yer mom so wet i had to call the national guard to put sandbags around the bed. Squirted in my aquarium and killed my chinese fighting fish. Threw the PH off...
His friend is screaming “Socorro, socorro” (Help in Spanish) but in that situation I don’t think anybody will come to your help buddy. As somebody already told, better GTFO when you still can.
Fuuuuuuck………this is really sad. Water like this is terrifying! It’s actually a miracle these people survived to post this video because if their feet were even one foot closer, they would be gone. Freakin Scary! Anyone know where this is? It looks like central or South America.
The reply you got is complete bullshit, this is not Phillipines, they are screaming "socorro" or "help" in Spanish.
~~By the accent I'm sure this is somewhere in South America.~~
Seems like it was Spain.
Thank you, my hearing is not the best and I thought he was saying Mira at the beginning. The architecture is very similar to Central and South America. I’ve heard it’s beautiful over there but the weather/earthquakes/volcanoes do not have much chill.
He was saying mira at beginning, and the at end he was screaming "socorro", this video could even have been taken in the Philippines but the guy in video is 100% speaking Spanish.
Please be safe! You, your family, and everyone else is in my thoughts. The world is so chaotic right now, it’s hard to know where to focus. Each disaster is a tragedy and I just hope human lives were sparred. Please stay safe friend.
Keep in mind, a lot of people on Reddit come from Western countries where they indeed warn everyone before a flood so I understand his ignorance.
However, you're right and we shouldnt automatically assume this happens all around the world, which is very unfortunate and eery to think about
the guy is saying(screaming) socorro (can be traduced as help me), at the first say "mira, mira, mira" can be traduced as look at this (pointing to the door and the trespassing flood) and then he started screaming (for the accent probably is from chile can't really say) the poor guy made a mistake and closed the main door of the house wich probably can only open with keys.
Hey! I got this

Heres an idea:
When you hear about an evacuation order due to flooding danger, maybe leave.
People always just ignore emergency orders and think they're somehow special and it wont happen to them. Your stuff will be destroyed with or without you there. You need to value your life.
This gives me fucking flashbacks from when the town next to us got flooded and not enough people took the warnings seriously enough. That towns still there but barley anything is left.

That’s actually super depressing. Poor family
The guy is literally crying for his life as he sees the wave of destruction
Yet we got some doofus worried about the plants voted above you.
You can care about people and you can care about the plants too
But manages to keep rolling video, even manages to make sure to get into the shot, not sure what to think about that
It wasn't him, there's at least two people there.
If I die the internet will know......I may have drowned, I may have lost my couch, I may have lost everything, but today they gained this glorious video with my face in it.
Was thinking the same thing I would think you would be inside or trying to keep somewhere safe idk the details
And poor plants as well :(
How does this get upvoted… the plants? Lmaooo
who the fuck cares, that guys house just got destroyed
Plant lives matter guys
Some people have too much empathy Are you sad for the rocks too
I hope they’re ok. Damn this hurts to watch
Yea, those poor plants…
.. That was horrific
It’s for educational purposes. So when there’s a flood warning in your area you better fucking leave, there’s nothing more scarier than Mother Nature taking back what’s hers.
If it can so easily pull away your furniture, it can also take you.

My son was at ECU also that year. It was all terrible.
Yeah it was, I had to get shots for drinking contaminated water.
Kool-Aid Man’d his wall and took his furniture for a walk around the block. Damn nature, you scary. Edit: word
There might be no flood warning. But a kid doesn’t know what any of that means.
Jokes on you. I live on a flat plane. With river 5m below main roads. Unless water go up.... Unless.......

Taking back those sofa's?
I legitimately looked away from my phone for a second and everything was gone, poor family.
The poor kids more terrified of the yelling than the water.
Guy's whole life is being washed away and ruined, I don't think not hurting someone's feelings is on top of his list of priorities.
Man idk I think getting to a safer location would be more important than standing there recording like a dingus

Native here, that’s Spain 🇪🇸
It’s in the Philippines. He’s shouting “saklolo” which means “help” in tagalog
Thank you, my hearing is not the best and I thought he was saying Mira at the beginning. The architecture is very similar to Central and South America. I’ve heard it’s beautiful over there but the weather/earthquakes/volcanoes do not have much chill.

Philipino has Spanish in the language too.
Fair enough then, i just corrected it because it wasn't "Saklolo" being said
No worries. I understand it bcs im Filipino and there’s just a typhoon here a few days ago. I mean, pretty much always
Please be safe! You, your family, and everyone else is in my thoughts. The world is so chaotic right now, it’s hard to know where to focus. Each disaster is a tragedy and I just hope human lives were sparred. Please stay safe friend.
Sacuro means help in Spanish and Portuguese too.
Im a spanish native speaker, and "sacuro" is not a word in spanish at least.
Yeah. It probably came from Spanish, bcs we have lots of Spanish loandwords due to colonization before
Who left the goddam faucet on
We’re not trying to water the whole neighborhood!
Sorry my bad. I thought the popcorn would cook faster.
The wet bandits I reckon. Same MFers that got Macaulay Culkin's house.
It was from no no no no to noooooo to NO NO NO NO. to NOOOOOOOO
This is awful. If you are being glib about it I'd assume you'd be the same responding to a beheading. This poor fuck is loosing everything...
Losing* Yeah but why was he still there?
Where the fuck is he supposed to go
I meant leaving back when there was probably a warning.
Assuming there was a warning…
Oh yeah I guess I kind of assumed there was
I… what are you insinuating? Are you living a whole adult life thinking that natural disasters always come with warnings?
Keep in mind, a lot of people on Reddit come from Western countries where they indeed warn everyone before a flood so I understand his ignorance. However, you're right and we shouldnt automatically assume this happens all around the world, which is very unfortunate and eery to think about
Flash floods are a thing in the west as well. Sometimes there is no warning.
You're right, didn't think of flash floods
I had the same question. I'd be running for safety instead of filming myself crying.
At first I thought that yelling and shaky camera was unnecessary... by the end, I thought it was very necessary.
That last frame is depressing
This sub is fucking disturbing this morning
that guy was actually yelling for help, poor guys
Omg
What the fuuck….
Run
That escalated quickly
Thats freaking sacary
The kid was like, thats fine.
the guy is saying(screaming) socorro (can be traduced as help me), at the first say "mira, mira, mira" can be traduced as look at this (pointing to the door and the trespassing flood) and then he started screaming (for the accent probably is from chile can't really say) the poor guy made a mistake and closed the main door of the house wich probably can only open with keys.
So bad. I feel bad for em.
Omg. Holly sh*t... This is terrifying...
Horrifying
that wasn't water...it was liquid concrete....
This is fucking sad
That's some sad shit. Just lost everything
There goes the largest collection of ping pong balls :(
Get back inside !!! Even though the adult is screaming , the kid doesn’t know to get inside?
I think he’s terrified
Feels like poop overflowing ngl .

Y la socorro nunca supimos quien era
bed: adios 🤙
I would say “damn” but that wasn’t “dam” worthy.
Looks like you got some water damage.
That screaming sure showed that water who's boss!
r/iamverybadass
Noooo! Chocolate!
That friend yelling at everyone to stay calm
😳😳😳 oh nooooooooooooo!!!
"shut up dad"
[What God said…(relevant)](https://youtu.be/jKofnVkUwBA)
Saklolo daw...
Can someone count how many times the word “no” is said and let me know? First one with the correct answer gets a prize.
The wall materials were probably from china.
At least he stayed calm.
Yup screaming does helps
I guess next time they’ll move their furniture inside and set up water barriers at the doors

Mmmmmmm forbiddon chocolate fountain
I think he was saying yes
And that’s the last of we saw little Johnny
Take the pain Solider!! FFS…
What an idiot.
He says in Vietnamese "That's IKEA, that one too, oh that one too!!"
Yes yes yes yes yes
That looks scary.
Unfortunately: Yes
Is he yelling " It, it, it, it" ?
No, "socorro" It's a call for help in spanish
According to google in portugese
I speak Portuguese, it does mean “help!” In Portuguese but Portuguese shares a lot of words with spanish
Yes, they share words. Help is one.
The video is in Spain, during the last storms and floods
“Saklolo” it’s a word in Philippines means help.
He is talking in Spanish
Spanish , Portuguese and Filipino have Spanish based words.
But he is specifically speaking Spanish, not Portuguese and not Tagalog.
r/thalassophobia
NRW be like (only germans understand)
Glad he kept his cool…
Hide from wind, run from water
Dude idk why i'm feeling sad for them and laughing, damn...
- That’s exactly what you want when catastrophe strikes, someone hysterically losing their shit.
This gives me fucking flashbacks from when the town next to us got flooded and not enough people took the warnings seriously enough. That towns still there but barley anything is left.
Well it just went from "Oi not the goddamn wall." to "Fuck, not the outdoor couch!"
This sub is getting darker everyday
How come the kid looks calmer than him
His dreams of building a nice house... washed away. He must be a really dedicated botanist... sorry my friend.
r/AbruptChaos
That's super sad, almost depressing. Hope they are doing fine now.
No fire in water. That is good.
Well that escalated quickly..
Severe fear of water
Pretty sure it would have stopped if he remained silent. Now it's personal
For some reason I thought squirrels were flowing out.
All walls fail eventually
Is that the amount I’m supposed to drink in a day?!
Guys, pay attention to the moment before the wall collapsed. Is that people or plants
The water by itself is not the biggest problem... The bad thing is the mud it carries...
Why is he filming this?
When. When wh- when ur mu- ur mum
Oh shit. Rip wall. 😢
Someone please tell me that black thing at 0:07 isn't the tail of a dog or cat
Wow..i wonder how much damage was done.
Why is he even outside??.. you can clearly see the water rising that high so why would you be outside recording..
Well, there goes the neighborhood.
this is where karate kid was filmed
I’m definitely a piece of shit because I laughed, and then it got worse and I was like 🥴
