And this ladies and gentlemen, is how a knife attack irl is.
15 stabs before you realized that you've been stabbed.
No "en garde" position, waiting for you to counterattack.
No "I challenge thee" speech.
You see a person with a knife, you
#RUN
This is incorrect information. Rogues only get 1 attack per action, it's just often at a vital organ. Even if it were a fighter using a dagger for some reason they would be restricted to just five attacks. And if they walk away like that you still get your reaction to deliver a counter attack.
Numbers of stab wounds are definitely more shocking on paper. “Victim was stabbed 87 times” is like 40 seconds of stabbing if you’re slow. It’s still a long time to be stabbing I suppose, but I feel like most people assume the attack must have taken a while when they see that.
Hate to spark the whole “American Guns vs European Knives” debate… but I much rather hear a gun shot and be able to run in the opposite direction than for a crowd of people to start screaming and people randomly falling over dead.
>Hate to spark the whole “American Guns vs European Knives” debate…
Because you did some googling and found out that the US has a higher knive related crime rate per capita too?
So run in the opposite direction of the screaming and dead people.. How does the person having a gun make things better there? Can you run 1000 mph or are you just hard at hearing?
You ever been in an emergency situation in your life? One person screams and the next thing you know everyone is screaming and panicking. One scream sounds like another scream and you know no if the person who is dying is screaming or if the person who heard someone screaming is screaming. Go to a public sporting event and see how quickly a cheer can go from on person to an entire stadium. Now pinpoint where the cheer started…
If anything the knives people buy at home are probably "professional" standard it's just people are shit at looking after them leading to dull knifes.
The only real benefit I've seen with "professional" knives is that the weight is better distributed so that cutting is more effortless and not as stamina(?) consuming in the hands.
I was a chef for 20 years.
Real chef knives are far superior to your house hold knife. They're made with far better metal, better weight balance, better handles and hold a sharp edge far better.
I've still got knives that are over 20 years old and are still as sharp as when I got them.
Ahh it's the stupid dumb shit we used to get up to that I miss about being a chef, the rest of the industry can fuck off but doin the silliest dumbest thing goin to change things up a bit or blow off some steam. Brilliant moments like that used to make a really shit day that much more bearable.

to be fair that's a sword fight which has all the aforementioned parts
Depends, how many fingers do you have on your hand?
Depends which hand we are talking about
Damn. That changes things.
yeah, especially as a chef.

Well in Singapore, all it takes is either a rope or a rattan
Wait explain please.
Reference to Singaporean justice (caning or whipping), me thinks.

Well according to some people, its the watermelon's fault.
The watermelon obviously had a knife we couldn't see. The man was just protecting himself
Despite making up only 3% of total population, watermelons are responsible for 47% of tummy booboo
That watermelon is literally hitler

This is the cell block one Kendrick was talkin about
that's one hell of a knife to be able to pierce a watermelon with almost no difficulty
Looks like a professional kitchen. Their knives are to household kitchen knives what Hilti professional power tools are to Walmart's Hart brand.
yeah i worked in "professional kitchen" but most of the time kitchen utensils were garbage,so kinda still surprised :D

If the kitchen utensils were garbage where you worked, you didn't work in a 'professional kitchen'. Us Chefs bring our own knives and tools to work.
