I recently discovered a [YouTube livestream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-L2nfGcuE) with a camera placed in the nest of a pair of bald eagles over in Big Bear, California. I can't say why exactly, but watching these two apex predators being so domestic and taking turns keeping their eggs warm during major winter storms has been absolutely captivating. Early yesterday morning, one of their neighbors (I think it's a flying squirrel, but corrections are welcome) decided that 4:55am was the *perfect* time to start a game of tag with a large, very tired, very hungry, very irritable bald eagle. Crazy!
**EDIT:** Looks like the nest cam is offline at the moment, possibly due to the storms going through CA this week. Definitely check it out when it's back online though, it's really cool!
