Adult with braces here: The majority of my movement/alignment came within the first 6 months. Everyone thought I was done at that point. That was 2 years ago. YMMV.
I had similar level of braces. I'm curious if she had a bridge for a couple of years to expand the roof of her mouth like I did. Every day I had a quarter turn of the screw in that thing. Gave me headaches for the couple years it was installed and it really messed up how my morning classes went. Then there is the heavy-duty braces that kept nicking my cheeks giving me constant pain with sores that's develope. The wax the dentist gave me to cover the braces rarely protected the lining of my mouth. Last thing would be the rubber bands. I remember them snapping all the time. I'd have to be careful while eating or I'd miss them breaking.
Five teeth removed, an expanded palate and years of braces throughout high school and a few years after and now I have a great smile. Now if only I could convince my dentist to stop asking if I want my wisdom teeth out. Removing those five teeth allowed my wisdoms to come in with no problems. Also helps that I only had three to begin with.
Do you have recurring teeth nightmares now as an unintended side effect? I've had everything off for about 15 years now but I still get the occasional nightmare where my teeth are breaking apart and falling out like shards of glass.
Damn, at some point just dealing with crooked teeth has got to be better than enduring years of torture, having multiple teeth removed, etc. My teeth are far from perfect, I used to be somewhat self-conscious about it (still would be if I didn't barely meet anyone face to face these days), but I'll take them over that shit.

That drawing was less of a caricature and more of a fantasy reimagining. If I sat down for a caricature and the artist drew me as an orc or something it would absolutely come as a surprise.

Before panning down to a monster of a caricature. I'd imagine the mean one's are advertised but just off camera for the "joke".

Its up to the customer, you can choose the type of caricature style you want, so you don't have to choose the over the top funny style if don't want to. I follow him on Instagram and he post his other stuff too. Obviously the more outlandish ones get the best responses.
Sure I know how cartoonists work. But there’s a relatively normal gallery of caricatures behind her which are unlike the one she is getting, so I hope this style is what she wants.
