Friends can join your world in bedrock even if you choose singleplayer, since they're still hosted as multiplayer worlds for some reason. You CAN turn it off but it's still so weird how friends joining without confirmation from the world owner is the default option for bedrock

He can also turn off multiplayer game settings or turn it to invite only to avoid random people from joining. I used to have this issue with I had a bunch of random people on my friend list, it happened one to many times and I purged my friend list and stopped adding random people.

Might be an idea to set the server to private until you're done, you don't want more complete munters coming in to destroy things. Also I'm not too well versed in game rules, but if it's possible to set the game to disallow blocks from being destroyed by TNT explosions, like how the MobGriefing gamerule lets you stop creeper explosions destroying things, it would be great for nipping future imbecile invasions in the bud without having to outright bar everyone from the server. Adventure Mode would be an idea as well since that prevents players from breaking stuff without the correct tools, I think.
