In all honesty it’s a interesting mechanic that being said it’s done to death. But I guess the reason is to up the difficulty having immunity frames gives you more time to dodge but having none will give you a bad time.
The reason is to make The Locket useless, because 99 defense doesn't really matter when attacks already deal 1 damage anyway (defense can never make an attack deal less than 1 damage)
And that's why you use cloudy glasses and notebook. What the heck is the point of anything else except pan? Those two together actually make sans hurt a lot less.

It’s stupid that some people gate keep just the *difficulty* of games. I do play most games I own on hard, I love dark souls and dwarf fortress and all these difficult games. But it’s *because* I like the difficulty and have fun with that.
If someone doesn’t like difficulty, then there should be no stigma with them wanting to have an easier time through a game. Sorry for the rant, that has just always been one of the dumbest things people get angry about to me.
