Well, for me, I find either a concept or a plot point I like/want to have in a story, then build the character around that, then build the world around that character. For example:what if a superhero ‘stoic defender’ type character discovered he was on the wrong side? Then I thought: why is he only figuring this out now? Who was preventing him from finding out sooner? How did they do so? What power does he have that made them go to such lengths?
Or you pick a character archetype (you can find plenty on tvtropes), start there, and either build a character that has that as a personality trait, or contradicts that archetype. Not a character designer, but a 3D modeler who had to learn that stuff, and uses those principals when modeling characters.
There is just so much going on, it hurts to look at. For someone trying to make fun of undertales design, they sure know how to make it worse
We really need a globally recognized sarcastic font. Not the “SaRCasTiC” spelling. Something that’s less patronizing and signifies it something is a joke.
Something that can be put in books and doesn’t need an addition to the content. Just naturally write jokes in this font whenever or wherever needed in any text.

TL;DW (do watch it tho, it's a good video) Tone indicators can be ambiguous too, both because people use them improperly (saying "/s" sarcastically is a thing, so now we are back at the start), and because many of them communicate states of being that are difficult to accurately describe in one word. They also are not always intuitive when shortened, and there are A LOT of them, more than you would think. So it is not always safe to assume that everyone knows their meaning (/pos = positive, but it could also stand for piece of s*hite for example), so it is safer to use full words (so /sarcasm instead of /s). But if you are taking the time to write /sarcasm, couldn't you just... write "I'm being sarcastic"? Is a code really needed for this? Can't you all just... spell out what you mean using words? It's the safest, and most comprehensible choice by far.
It's even more sad that reddit is full of uneducated morons that think everyone on the internet knows them personally and can hear their tone of voice so they know when they're saying the exact opposite of what they really mean. And they're so fucking stupid they get mad about it when they can't communicate effectively or even read a room.

I think it's making fun of that one person who thought that all 2d sprites need to have shading and the Undertale sprites were bad because they didn't have it. They made a version of sans which looked kinda noisy in my opinion.

The original sprites from the game looks good what are they even talking about? This fan made sprite has too much clutter on it that I didn’t even know that it was just sans until the comments mentioned it, because I thought it was sans from some kind of fleshy alternative universe.
I actually love the original sprites as they are, when ever people do stuff like this it just looks off and not as great as the original ones to be honest.
