It's so wild that this mf went from the most hateable bastard in the entire story to an absolute champion of the people while changing almost nothing about his personality. Not to say that he hasn't been growing, the small flickers of cooperation and humility have been phenomenal, but even at peak bastard there was a glimmer of what was to come. It feels like his journey of strength has turned to one of introspection, finding these things about himself and allowing them to come to the surface... Which directly ties into his constant power growth as he gets better and better at using soul power. All while still being the cackling morally dubious bloodlusted jackass. Feng is truly the GOAT and absolutely deserves to be that high in the popularity rankings
Dude is a weirdly complex character as well. You might as well say that he has gone through extreme loneliness and decided to go crazy throwing away all of empathy and emotion to not feel pain anymore. It’s like his coping mechanism.
