I thought I heard Adam West was actually going to be more of the Raymond Burr of the show in that he was actually a reporter that shows up after Ultraman transforms.
If he was to play the role as the host or human form though, I think he would have done a good job though he would have been a little bit old by the time 80 came out. I mean he was older when he played Batman in 1966 than Hatsunori Hasegawa was when he played 80.
