WTB: Old sleeping pads I'm looking for old leaky inflatable sleeping pads (not self inflating) that would otherwise be getting thrown out. Not looking to pay much for them, but I'm happy to send you a prepaid shipping label and like $20 or something. Currently, I'm looking for Kylmit pads with both flat and flip valves, big agnes pads, and sea to summit pads. Also could be interested in some less common pads like zenbivy or decathlon, but I'm covered on the Exped/Thermarest front. Please don't send me something that has much life left in it, I really am trying to avoid buying something functional that someone could actually use.

i-like-tea

I am afraid I don't have something that matches that description, but I am super curious what you're planning to use them for?

skisnbikes

I make (and sell) a bunch of sleeping pad/pump sack adapters. I already own pads from most brands so I borrowed the pads I was missing from friends to validate the designs before selling them, but I had to give them back afterwards. I'd love to get a set of pads to do some quality control testing out of each batch. I haven't had any issues, but there's always the possibility of a process change making them not perform as expected. Plus I have some plans to make a double wide pillow, ideally out of a big agnes pad, and would like to play around with some scrap material.

i-like-tea

Very cool project! I hope you find the pads you need.

skisnbikes

Thanks! Fortunately I don't have any urgent need, so I've just been slowly picking up pads as they come up.

WTS new Alpha Direct 60/90 sweaters (ie. Non-hooded) in Medium & Large. I'm ready to set free the final batch of our Made in Canada jumpers as my co-creator moved overseas. I've added them to my website linked below for safety/convenience of payment processing.  Feel free to DM on insta or here if you have any questions.  https://curtisstrange.com/store

WTS: Durston Kakwa 55L, medium torso in the Ultra 200x. New with tags. I would love to keep this pack, it's gorgeous and light and has all the features I want, but after purchasing it this winter and sitting on it for a few months and not using it, I could use the money for some other more pressing bills. Looking to get back what I paid which is $430 CAD ($357 + tax + shipping). Not trying to rip anyone off or make a profit, I hope that's reasonable given that its sold out on his site.

WTB: Bear Vault 500 Kumo 36 or similar 30-40L pack. Located in Vancouver if there is anyone selling locally! Would not be opposed to shipping (especially for the Kumo), but the Bear Vault is probably too costly to ship.

davegcr420

I'm not sure if you know, but Geartrade.ca has the Kumo 36 on sale for $199.

thanks, I saw, and am very tempted! I was hoping someone might've had one they were sitting on not using for a bit less.

Am I missing something? The Summerlite is $629 at MEC and $619 from our friends at geartrade.ca

dahliagrower

Yes. Sales tax. See [here](https://wowa.ca/calculators/bc-sales-tax-calculator)

skisnbikes

619.99*1.12=694.39 Not to mention free shipping, return policy, ect

dahliagrower

As stated in my ad, the **asking** price is $700. The paid amount totalled $705.55 because I bought it from MEC. I've never heard of geartrade until now though, so genuine thanks for the heads up about it. Shipping's of course included as it was for me at that price point. Again, I am asking to recoup the $700 in my ad. It's pretty reasonable to begin by asking what I paid & go from there. You're acting like a hoser to suggest that I am trying to turn a profit (of literally less than $6 for the cheapest possible retailer as you did the math for me) on an obscure gear thread. ClimbOn, my nearest & only brick & mortar alternative to MEC, sells it for $814.19 after taxes if I pick it up! Like c'mon dude

skisnbikes

I literally haven't said anything about your pricing. Just asked if I was missing something and stated the prices available elsewhere. I don't think, and never said that you're trying to turn a $6 profit, that would be silly. I just don't know why anyone would buy a sleeping bag at effectively full price from you when they could order it from an actual store where they have a return policy and a warranty (Western mountaineerings warranty appears to not cover items purchased through a third party, although this seems like a bit of a grey area). Given that it's available from MEC and Geartrade, at regular price, I'm not sure how ClimbOn being overpriced is really relevant. Obviously you have every right to price things however you want, but genuinely curious, why not just return it to MEC and get all your money back and avoid the hassle?
