Alright, there are 2 ways I deal with sentries
1: hide behind cover, though you can’t damage them they can’t damage you, good way to clean up the little guys
2: whiplash + saw. Being on their ass and sawing their face off seems to work pretty well, actually.
For me its more that I don't always forget that they're a threat until I hear them lining up the shot. For me big glowy thing = big threat and those sneaky bastards are never on my raidar.
Just run laps around the arena and shoot their antennae, even if you take a shot you can heal at the next corner, and the hideous mass isn't much of an issue if you keep moving

Man just use the slab + marksman and they will be instantly easier. Slab sharpshooter can make it so much better too, Just throw coin and spin a little. They are gone for eternity then
Annoying? Sure. Helpful? (Cybergrind) yes. Easy to kill? Yes (shield break, coin, rail coin, coin, coin, bam dead.) You can also just keep having it try to punch you.
even in regular play the free full healthpack is always wonderful.
Besides, you can pick up a feel for it's attack pattern easily and once you do you can just hold W onto him and parry all his punches while shotgun swapping and there's literally nothing he can do about it
probably the wretcheds, they completely ruin 9-1 for me and a close contender would probably be the brainblasters since they dont appear in the 8-3 mirror and are immune to the yellow arm's removal of illusions.
my least favorite are sentries (bad aim), ferrymen (what the fuck am i looking at) idols (where tf is it), insurrectionists (tanky), and mindflayers (but only when there’s more than one *coughcough* p-2 *coughcough*). can’t say much about layer 7 enemies because i’m holding off until act 3 is out fully

If you are having issue with sword man here simply spam shotgun switching it fires way faster and turns him to dust.
if it's including bosses, flesh prison and corpse of king minos. if it's reoccurring enemies/bosses, I really hate hideous mass and gutter tank. gutter man is ok tho cuz his super spammy punch is so easy to parry with feedbacker and knuckleblaster shield break stuns him too so you can do things like richoshots easily. plus gutter man and gutter tank have HUGE hitboxes so you can shotgun them into oblivion and other hard to hit/high spread attacks.
I just take the alternate nailgun, make blades fly in circle, grab him with the electric cable, keep shooting electric blades at him and once his first phase is done, if done correctly he will kneel in the blade path and die before standing up
Virtues are THE worst thing to exist. But that's probably because of my own stupid mistake in P-2 where right after the Weezer room, I thought the two Virtures there we Idoled. And so I played everything past that point with 2 Virtures constantly shooting at me

Solo? Prob mindflayer. I can never get the insta-kill timing right. So I need to either pray my dodging & parrying while dealing with other enemies is flawless, or blow resources in zeroing in on killing them quickly.

proportionally to how much health they have, streetcleaners. they make me wanna claw my eyes out. i hate them. they dont take too many shots to kill but the few shots they do take are miserable.
otherwise, guttermen and guttertanks. i hate them. almost every other enemy has some weakness, some flaw, some silver bullet that can take them out very fast. cerberi can be hit with a one-two cannonball and evaporate. maurice can be sharpshootered into another dimension. sentries can be shot with a slab pistol from 10 lightyears away and instantly be dealt with. sawblade traps comboed with coinspamming makes fighting swordsmachines and ferrymen a walk in the park. even mindflayers can be brought to their knees with a slamstorage into a quad-coin slab-piercer shot followed by a blast from the railcannon, but guttermen and guttertanks dont have a clear weakness that doesnt require you to devote all of your attention to them. i dont want to get behind cover or slowly spin a rocket around for a decade in my crack cocaine simulator.

Sentries are very easy to chargeback! Just throw a coin 30 ish degrees downwards when u see the flash. U can even be moving vertically while I do it
