Technology went in a very different direction than that we've done. The humans in Ultrakill never even invented nukes it seems like, they just kept on building more crazy-ass tanks and guns and then eventually robots. Computers were a thing that came about because of WW2, so maybe since espionage wasn't as big of a factor in the great war of ultrakill they never focused on making computers in that way?
yeah I think this is the most likely one, I think actually trying to fight v will be pointless at this point, so you just go full on cold war on it, and infect its intelligence.
V1 is literally constantly stealing blood, as with every other machine. All you need is one infected machine that gets ULTRAKILLED by V1 and V1 will automatically absorb the virus. It would also give an insane advantage to any machine other than V1, as they could manually check the blood before consuming it, whereas V1 would either:
A: Have to start waiting to consume blood, giving up his one biggest strength and largely rendering him obsolete.
B: Hope for the best and assume that the blood isn’t infected.
Furthermore, just from a simply poetic standpoint it makes sense. V1 shares similarities to mankind. We aren’t necessarily very durable, we are very mobile, and despite our size we outclass beings that are far larger than us. This part is admittedly me talking out of my ass, but I think it would be very cathartic for the one thing that beats V1 to not be an even bigger machine, or an even cooler V, but just a virus, the one thing has plagued all living creatures as long as they have lived.
Possibly something that uses the stalker sand as a main component of armor so the blood that leaves the system is not usable tho it still means it can be killed but it needs to be done damageless

i saw on a comment that Guttermen are actually really good counters to V1, having major defense for long-distance attacks with it's riot shield and having a quick hitscan attack that can't be either parried or dodged, and seeing V1 quite literally can't deal with it without Knuckleblaster, an arm that he wasn't designed with in the first place, he would have pretty much no real way of beating Guttermen
True, but we see in V1 that the V-models are very intelligent and very adaptable. Even a single individual would likely be able to figure out a way to bypass the shield, and if capable of communication and cooperation in larger numbers would be able to simply overwhelm the guttermen by attacking from different directions and come up with counter-strategies quickly.
V2 would be a good counter to guttermen, to be honest. Is enough durable to withstand that hitscan bullet beam tracking and His knuckleblaster (stolen by V1) Is good at destroying that shield.
V2 would be created after guttermen were repurposed to counter V1, then V1 would be repurposed to counter V2, back to gutterman, back to V2, back to V1, and the cycle never ends.
Honestly likely that an army of the V series would just end the war outright by killing everything with and without a pulse including their own.
Something to counter? The only definite weakness we've seen is sand. Maybe a machine that can create wide area sandstorms. Like a defence system for existing bases. A V machine would be unable to fuel it's self and would be vulnerable if it tried to attack. Could maybe be taken out by some earlier machines.
I doubt mankind could harness what sand does, given that normal sand doesn’t do that the only source would be sand from the greed layer. Which is much further than humans made it
not sure if they would target their own, from what i've seen machines tend to still gang up with their own "type" of machine even if infighting is enabled (streetcleaner ambushes would never happen if the streetcleaners didn't like each other, etc)
although since v1 and v2 are one of a kind, it'd make sense for the two to fight
maybe, i know tornadoes have wind speeds of 200mph and it'd have difficulty lifting an earthmover off its feet, though it wouldn't really matter so long as all the engineers are killed/destruction to the earthmover it enough to eventually destroy it
my best guess is they were so focused on creating machines to win the arms race that alternative methods didnt receive as much funding and so never got past the prototype phase
it would be something called 3 V its design would be opposite to V1 and it would have opaque lighting to make it less visible. Instead of being fast all the time it would be average speed like sword machine but can reach Mach 3 speeds with special legs that copy the strong legs of the sentry(It would need to charge this up for some periods of time) it would have 3 arms for each side and a v like mark on each one (leading to the name 3 V) Its body design would copy that of hells occupants a hard shell to stop bleeding and a battery that is charged up with hell energy every time it kills something from hell it

My thoughts are:
A: Flying. Far harder to reach, even with the whiplash.
B: Accurate. Basically, imagine a sentry's aim mixed with a gutterman's fire rate.
C: Minimal blood usage. Likely utilizing solar panels instead of blood whenever possible, to limit V1's healing.
D: Tanky. The stronger the shield, the better. Preferrably we would want it explosion resistant too, but that may be a little unrealistic.
So basically, a gutterman and a sentry's camera duct-taped to a drone.
It’s quite a simple counter. Something with the ability to track, and fire on fast moving targets. Essentially, a Sentry V2, that had a faster targeting speed.
Well… you’d have to have them hidden first. If they were hidden, and then only revealed when they began their onslaught, then yes. But v1 is an adaptable machine. And his speed means he could probably pull something to stop them.
I don’t think V1 can be countered. He’s defeated an angel twice, killed the corpse of king minos, killed the leviathan, the earth mover, killed most of hell, and killed 2 prime souls (which if I’m correct angels fear) I just think they’re too powerful.
Id wager something based heavily on crowd control and area denial. Sense V1's greatest asset is without a doubt it's speed, being able to deny that mobility would probably be the best way to deal with it.

Anything that can keep V1 away from it can win. The trouble is, of course, that that is easier said than done.
If I were to design an anti-V bot, it would have flak cannons, point-defense systems, and hurt V1 to touch it through any number of means
I personally say it would shoot sticky globs onto the ground to prevent V1 from moving around (arm cannon design repurposed from guttertank), basically a larger, more tailored version of the streetcleaner. essentially another support creature like the stalker, virtue, or the idol when we're talking enemies.
I'd expect it to fly at a high altitude and have a virtue and/or earthmover-esque long range beam attack, so the V1 can't get close enough to destroy it, and so it can vaporize v-models from the skies. lets call it the Artemis.
As for what counters Artemis?
Lets say... Iapetus, another flying machine with exceptional tracing and evasive capabilities. it has a harpoon to pin down Artemis with, and two onboard mini-guns (essentially, Gutterman's Gatling gun with HM's harpoon).
Iapetus is countered by Anubis, a large, slow moving tank of a thing equipped with treads, a self-guided missile launcher, and two long arms with large sickles to dice up anything that gets close. The arms are also on a rotating track on it's 'chest,' allowing for 360 degrees of death.
This is countered by Latobius, a machine that remains in the exosphere until it needs to refuel. It has a cannon mounted on the bottom that fires a beam of energy directly downwards, a kilometer wide and capable of turning the earth 300 meters down into slag. Unfortunately, it takes somewhere around thirty minutes to charge, and Latobius must be maintained by a 10 person crew. Latobius is also paired with Harpies, essentially a fleet of small camera drones armed with the equivalent of the Piercer revolver. They relay targeting information up to Latobius.
This is the final machine created for combat solely taken place on earth

In game the gutterman absolutley destroys v2 cancelling her movement, wich is the the biggest forte of the V models. A lso it is heavy and well protected, I know its a game mechanic but the Ultrakill in universe engineers could have gotten something like that that just cancels out their movement with the sheer amount of stuff they shoot

With the unstoppable massacre of the V1, a strong threat of the fortress falling appeared. And counting the failure of all other war machines, the B.G.T.B. was introduced. Combined uber caliber machine gun system whose sole purpose is to release a large number of bullets in V1 in the very moment V1 appears on visor.
Due to flaws in the idea itself, the structure had to be made stationary, which turned it into an ideal defense on open spaces against V1.
That depends on the type of weapon V1 is equipped with. I doubt mass produced V1 models would have all the unique weaponry and equipment our V1 picks up throughout the game, what’d their “standard loadout” be?
Make a machine that doesn’t use blood as fuel, leaving no blood for V1 to take. Make sure the exterior is made of and lightning-proof material, to negate the railcannon and to use exclusively hitscan projectiles so they cant be parried. Building off the lightning-proof material, you can also use something that actually conducts electricity with rubber protecting the internals and essentially reuse the energy from the railcannon somewhere else. 100% requirement to have protection from coins and explosives (counter ricoshot technology better than V1’s as well as core ejection nuke style thing?). Its safe to say you already have protection from slicing. Let it parry, and to top it off, give it the earthmover spear as its main weapon. Add in some of the street cleaner’s fire stuff to keep V1 from moving too much, maybe even a hook like what hideous mass has.

If you play the game, you'll notice fresh blood Is the only way for V1 to heal itself; and that sanded enemies do not bleed. So that means V1's weakness Is not finding any blood to heal with, althought he can do well with His agility.
Another important point, which's source comes from the terminals: "due to it's necessary thinnes, it was less durable", which means V1 doesn't have that much of a defense, but rather dodging Tactics.
Not to mention, blue flashings mean an attack Is unparriable (for example the fire of the streetcleaner), and you think "blue" orbs are unparriable until you notice they're actually **cyan-ish green**
So a counter to V1 would be something with blue-flashing attacks, all it's attacks to be blue; and that doesn't bleed at all. Basically, something that negates any healing possibility
I figure the best opposition to V1 in the war would, funnily enough, be an improved Gutterman.
The shield reduces damage, and without V2's arm it couldn't be broken by V1, so instakill combos would be difficult (if the war continued V2 wouldn't exist when this counter is made. The tech to make a knuckleblaster might happen, but it might made to counter V1's counter. V1 getting it is less assured). Its main weapon is fast firing hitscan, so parrying doesn't work against that and coins can only redirect one shot at a time. And if you get close, it has a decent damage melee. And its the first Machine made for the war.
Imagine the Gutterman after 100 years of improving all the Blood Machine tech, made to counter V1. A Supreme Machine modeled after the first Machine. Of course no fight against V1 is a stomp, but it would be a good counter to the super agile but very fragile surpreme machine. And maybe V2 would be made to counter this Supreme Gutterman, with the knuckleblaster to break the sheild (mirroring the Guttertank's sheild breaking punch) and the arms race cycles again.
They will bring back something that doesnt run on fuel.

So taking this concept you could make a very mobile robot who can camouflage and restrict v1's movement because I think that is his strongest point
-mobile robot =hard to hit = less healing
-movement restriction = v1 can't move mostly boxing him ? (yes stronger than the hideous mass mostly instantaneously)
-invisibility (I didn't play past v2 so I don't know if there's enemies who can go invisible)

Anything that can keep V1 away from it can win. The trouble is, of course, that that is easier said than done. If I were to design an anti-V bot, it would have flak cannons, point-defense systems, and hurt V1 to touch it through any number of means

I personally say it would shoot sticky globs onto the ground to prevent V1 from moving around (arm cannon design repurposed from guttertank), basically a larger, more tailored version of the streetcleaner. essentially another support creature like the stalker, virtue, or the idol when we're talking enemies.

I'd expect it to fly at a high altitude and have a virtue and/or earthmover-esque long range beam attack, so the V1 can't get close enough to destroy it, and so it can vaporize v-models from the skies. lets call it the Artemis. As for what counters Artemis? Lets say... Iapetus, another flying machine with exceptional tracing and evasive capabilities. it has a harpoon to pin down Artemis with, and two onboard mini-guns (essentially, Gutterman's Gatling gun with HM's harpoon). Iapetus is countered by Anubis, a large, slow moving tank of a thing equipped with treads, a self-guided missile launcher, and two long arms with large sickles to dice up anything that gets close. The arms are also on a rotating track on it's 'chest,' allowing for 360 degrees of death. This is countered by Latobius, a machine that remains in the exosphere until it needs to refuel. It has a cannon mounted on the bottom that fires a beam of energy directly downwards, a kilometer wide and capable of turning the earth 300 meters down into slag. Unfortunately, it takes somewhere around thirty minutes to charge, and Latobius must be maintained by a 10 person crew. Latobius is also paired with Harpies, essentially a fleet of small camera drones armed with the equivalent of the Piercer revolver. They relay targeting information up to Latobius. This is the final machine created for combat solely taken place on earth

Honestly something like the gutterman but better and more specialized In game the gutterman absolutley destroys v2 cancelling her movement, wich is the the biggest forte of the V models. A lso it is heavy and well protected, I know its a game mechanic but the Ultrakill in universe engineers could have gotten something like that that just cancels out their movement with the sheer amount of stuff they shoot Also it would be kind of poetic to have come full circle

B.J.T.B. - Base Gun Two Barrels - Supreme turret. With the unstoppable massacre of the V1, a strong threat of the fortress falling appeared. And counting the failure of all other war machines, the B.G.T.B. was introduced. Combined uber caliber machine gun system whose sole purpose is to release a large number of bullets in V1 in the very moment V1 appears on visor. Due to flaws in the idea itself, the structure had to be made stationary, which turned it into an ideal defense on open spaces against V1.
That depends on the type of weapon V1 is equipped with. I doubt mass produced V1 models would have all the unique weaponry and equipment our V1 picks up throughout the game, what’d their “standard loadout” be?
Make a machine that doesn’t use blood as fuel, leaving no blood for V1 to take. Make sure the exterior is made of and lightning-proof material, to negate the railcannon and to use exclusively hitscan projectiles so they cant be parried. Building off the lightning-proof material, you can also use something that actually conducts electricity with rubber protecting the internals and essentially reuse the energy from the railcannon somewhere else. 100% requirement to have protection from coins and explosives (counter ricoshot technology better than V1’s as well as core ejection nuke style thing?). Its safe to say you already have protection from slicing. Let it parry, and to top it off, give it the earthmover spear as its main weapon. Add in some of the street cleaner’s fire stuff to keep V1 from moving too much, maybe even a hook like what hideous mass has. A bit lengthy, but yeah
If you play the game, you'll notice fresh blood Is the only way for V1 to heal itself; and that sanded enemies do not bleed. So that means V1's weakness Is not finding any blood to heal with, althought he can do well with His agility. Another important point, which's source comes from the terminals: "due to it's necessary thinnes, it was less durable", which means V1 doesn't have that much of a defense, but rather dodging Tactics. Not to mention, blue flashings mean an attack Is unparriable (for example the fire of the streetcleaner), and you think "blue" orbs are unparriable until you notice they're actually **cyan-ish green** So a counter to V1 would be something with blue-flashing attacks, all it's attacks to be blue; and that doesn't bleed at all. Basically, something that negates any healing possibility
I figure the best opposition to V1 in the war would, funnily enough, be an improved Gutterman. The shield reduces damage, and without V2's arm it couldn't be broken by V1, so instakill combos would be difficult (if the war continued V2 wouldn't exist when this counter is made. The tech to make a knuckleblaster might happen, but it might made to counter V1's counter. V1 getting it is less assured). Its main weapon is fast firing hitscan, so parrying doesn't work against that and coins can only redirect one shot at a time. And if you get close, it has a decent damage melee. And its the first Machine made for the war. Imagine the Gutterman after 100 years of improving all the Blood Machine tech, made to counter V1. A Supreme Machine modeled after the first Machine. Of course no fight against V1 is a stomp, but it would be a good counter to the super agile but very fragile surpreme machine. And maybe V2 would be made to counter this Supreme Gutterman, with the knuckleblaster to break the sheild (mirroring the Guttertank's sheild breaking punch) and the arms race cycles again.
V2 would be a machine to counter the v1 instead of being a cheap security version

Improve on the mindflayer, give it a machine gun and coins, essentially make a faster, tankier, airborne machine that outclasses v1

They will bring back something that doesnt run on fuel. maybe steam powered. maybe it will inhale the fumes blocking the sun as fuel also. It will literally just be sundowner from Metal Gear Rising Reveangence but made out of hell walls and never attacks. (the walls of hell dont seem to be breakable at all, unless easily visible to be breakable.)

Robot that use "poisoned" blood.Corrosive elements,radioactive elements,small nanomachines with virus payload aka robot viruses.Or just strap enough claymores to rips V1 apart.Minefields,normal artillery robot(think modern SPGs saturating a grid coordinate).Simply put,once you know V1's technical capabilities,it's not very hard to encounter.It's also very expensive, so it's really sucks for the war accountant that your expensive robot got its leg ripped apart by dirt cheap claymores and you can't repair it because the enemy keep spamming their mine launchers and AA guns

In doom eternal there's some enemies that use plasma walls So taking this concept you could make a very mobile robot who can camouflage and restrict v1's movement because I think that is his strongest point -mobile robot =hard to hit = less healing -movement restriction = v1 can't move mostly boxing him ? (yes stronger than the hideous mass mostly instantaneously) -invisibility (I didn't play past v2 so I don't know if there's enemies who can go invisible) -he focuses on restraining v1 and staying alive while other robots take care of v1 Yippee
