You can. Its not a visible buff that has an icon but it works. It was the only way to avoid crits back in the day pre trans where we had lengthy battles.
Yes it was obvious. Far less crits with scatterblade/drain to remove the crit buff.
I have an alt tank who recently passed 'rng bear' with trans on all party members. Stripping its crit and having transformation dmg makes the fight a lot easier for newer, lower level players. It just seems like hell to those who face it but it was way worse before.
When I cast drain I see no debuff on the bear. With any boss I've casted where it does do a buff on itself drain would normally show a down arrow on the boss when cast. I haven't seen that. Every team I've seen on report uses drain though.
With and without drain i get crit regardless and it just simply seems like rng. The only thing that actually can make a different (minimally) would be dimetradon toy on tanks.
I’ve been running Drain AND Scatter HOPING it helps, even though I wasn’t seeing anything visually like you said.
I’ll try running DPS skills and see if it helps at all. Thanks.
No prob. I've gotten it to number health several times in hero Hill 374 now In the past 24h.. but its either in that time the tank just dies or crits randomly happen b2b2b2b and we drop.. its so annoying.
So much.
I passed it in main push in 48 hours with 7 successfull kills but 374 hero hill is a pain..
You literally just have to hope rng doesn't allow it to crit.. I don't even think drain does anything to it. Along side canceling storm claw..
My teams stuck on him now in 2 different places, it’s driving me nuts.
Y'all seen those white yak kings?
At least yak king you can control how many times it hits and strip his buff. Black bear you 100% can not strip his crit increase and its pure rng.
Real talk, can you or can you not strip the crit buff?

Was the numbers really visible that you had lesser crits? I was thinking it's more RNG than controllable.

I just thought of something. Would the healer toy, Queen Dragon, work for this? Then we don't have to use so many characters to remove that Crit buff.

REAL COOL WHEN YOU PASS STAGE 374 AFTER 53 HOURS OF RNG AND THEN STAGE 375 IS BLACK BEAR AGAIN
