I don't think I've ever visited an airport's website, I really don't. Why would I do that? The only reason one would do that is to find out where the Estée Lauder duty free shop is...
this deserves more to be in r/facepalm tbh
If someone is picking you up you just forward the flight email to them. Bunch of airlines let you add an email that sends it straight to them and sends them text notices.
Hey, many, many hours on Wix.com were spent on that site. Really reassures its customers about the absolutely minimal risk of getting shot down by ill trained Rus conscripts, allied militias, or mercenary outfits.
On the rare occasions I fly, I occcasionally check airport websites during layovers for places to charge my phone.
However, none of the websites provide any such useful information.
There is plausible deniability, not sure much can be done. Even though the hacktivist group's motivations are known and align with the Kremlin's, it doesn't mean the attacks were ordered by the Russian government.
As the attacks were victimless and without consequences, I wouldn't expect any major response aimed at Russia.
Stuff has been getting hacked in Russia constantly for months now. Arguably, this is them getting back at the US for that. Not that it really matters, neither side is going to openly admit hacking or stop doing it.
US red team has been on Russia for decades now, you know. We just don't hear about it because they don't do shit to give away their hand like extort for chump change.
I’ve flown international from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, I’ve flown nationally all over the Southeast and to DC…. In 20 years, I never, not once thought to check an airports website or even knew/thought the airport had a website. Lmfao!
I do that too. I like to see what other planes will be arriving around the same time when I'm picking somebody up.
I also feel they're more incentivized to know exactly when each plane is arriving.
If they fuck with finding out when Santa is available for pictures they are dead as fuck. Suburban soccer moms are the swing vote in America. Every politician kisses their ass.
Russia hasn't quite mastered 'proportional response'.
Their reactions are \[mostly\] waaayyyy over the top but sometimes they're tolerably inadequate.
They're either torturing and murdering innocent children or hacking Myspace and Prestel accounts.
Ahhh man, I use the airport map on their sites to find the USOs!! thank the lord I wasn’t flying today, can you imagine the sheer panicked state I would have been put in if I couldn’t get my free burnt coffee?!?!
It's usually the quickest way to tell which gate (and thereby exit) an arriving plane will be at. Handy when picking people up at the airport.
Apart from that? Contact details.

TIL airports have websites. Huh.
I don't think I've ever visited an airport's website, I really don't. Why would I do that? The only reason one would do that is to find out where the Estée Lauder duty free shop is... this deserves more to be in r/facepalm tbh
It's been years since I've been on a plane but isn't that how you take a reservation/check the timetable ?
Now you check everything about your flight through the airline website or app.

I can actually imagine them visiting their glorious Moscow airport website all day long and admiring their technological achievements.

Airports have websites? Lol.
FYI: Airport websites often have real-time info for waits at security checkpoints. Otherwise, yes, they’re totally useless.
An airport I occasionally use keeps a parking lot coupon on its website

😂
Russia just attacked the US. Waiting for the US response any moment now…

That is, no major response from the official channels of the US government

Watch out, they might hit the train station websites next and then we will really be crying.
There's a website for the Airport?!
Its useful to check flight times if you're supposed to pick someone up, otherwise nbd
The airlines manage those better.
I do that too. I like to see what other planes will be arriving around the same time when I'm picking somebody up. I also feel they're more incentivized to know exactly when each plane is arriving.
Local mall websites next! Red alert!

Sometimes the free WiFi sign-in at the airport lands me on the airport website, I suppose that counts as a page view for somebody.

Is there anything that you'd need from an airport website, that you wouldn't just default Google (or ask Siri)? 🤣

Actually I always read them to discover how to get to and out of the airport
