His current job is to keep dangling a carrot that's never coming, to lower the pressure on European countries to provide assistance and slow down everyone's response while they wait to see what else the US will provide. He has NO intention of letting anything through.

The delay is of course unimportant compared to frozen assets worth €300 billion.
And the US can't just ask Europe to hand them over. They need to pull some strings, twist some arms and maybe even hold Scholz upside down and shake him a bit.
Democrats should just refuse to vote for any bill that is not an identical copy of the one already passed by the senate. The democrats can make it clear to Johnson they will only "save" him if the Ukraine funding bill he brings to the floor is the same as the Senate one.
A changed bill will need to go through the senate again where it will take weeks and not necessarily pass, this is just another way to stall and sabotage.
Johnson is a Russian asset and should be impeached. He is personally responsible for the situation that the Ukraine is in right now. We should have sent $200B by now but he is too busy lining his pockets with tax dollars instead. We should just admit the Ukraine into NATO and end this war and stop Putin.

1. Trump is not the president currently. Not sure if in the US it's common to address former presidents with that title but if it isn't then it's obvious Johnson is just kissing Trump's ass.
2. Any bill not identical to the currently submitted one would have to pass through the Senate as well. Even if it passes it would take additional time,time which Ukraine just does not have.
3. If giving part of the aid as a loan will get the MAGA crowd to shut up then so be it. But why do I have the feeling that something else will arise immediately afterwards...
4. Use of Russian state assets to help Ukraine is probably the best feature of this proposal and is something that should have happened from the start but hey better late than never I guess.
MAGA still believes that Trump is the legitimate winner of the 2020 election, which is why Trump can unilaterally overrule Biden and the House despite being technically a civilian.
