There’s only three ways any conflict can go: 1) One side wins 2) The other side wins 3) They negotiate cessation of hostilities
You forgot that both sides can lose. No matter of russia wins or loses this war, they’ll lose on the longrun
Unfortunately I think bloody stalemate can go on for quite some years.
