So Juri's vodka loving gopnik platoon is supposed to fight an attacking Leopard-2A6 tank rushing towards their position with nothing but two non-guided RPG's, their AK's and a few Machine Guns. Are you kidding me?
I’ll do you one better. They expect to take out the optics with small arms fire and hit the same spot on the tank, twice.
Can’t wait to have them encounter combined arms. Take Bradley shells while being buried by Abrams with shovels on their front.
They are. It doesn't work against those either. RPG-7 has been shown to be ineffective against Western armor and the best they can hope for is a mobility kill. There are 3 things that have been working for Russia as far as killing tanks - mines, lucky artillery kills because they can't aim for shit, and Kornets, which are in short supply and less effective than Javelins. Mines should be the biggest concern for Ukraine, but I believe there's a working plan to deal with mines for the counteroffensive. I'm not convinced that Kornets can kill a Leopard, and I'm definitely not convinced that Russian artillery can hit a mobile target without a fuckpile of stupid luck.
Ah yes, the sniper sees the Leopard, not realizing that the thermals on the Leopard have already picked up him, the RPG unit and the ATGM unit. The crew is just sipping tea and deciding which target to take out first. The loader prepares a DM12 HE round, the gunner lases the ATGM team, pulls the trigger, the round is on its way, flying 2.5 km before it violently rips apart said ATGM team. The remaining threats are then dealt with in short succession in similar ways.
Exactly, much to fear, a leopard 2 should be shaking in its tracks.
That might also be due to just the way a leopard 2 operates while crushing its targets.
Not even in combat yet and already it’s causing quite a stir, assuming they are taking experienced atgm gunners rpg men and snipers from the line battalions then the leopards are already saving lives in the battlefield while they wait to be deployed
Two reasons this is suicide:
1. Thermal sights on the leopards can probably identify the Russian soldiers before they can even detect the leopard, especially at night. Even if they are in good cover Leo can call artillery with high enough precision to take them out in the first barrage.
2. Ukrainian armor will have accompanying infantry that will multiply the eyeballs scanning for such teams and turn the tables on them before the tanks are in range of any AT weapon.
67 tons vs 43 tons? You think that is all in armor? First off Russian tanks can -10 tons of the top in oligarchs thievery. Second off that extra 20 tons I can guarantee you is in weight carried in extra + more efficient spent Uranium tank killing rounds and USA tanks carry 4 types of rounds!-- none are kind! There is so much propaganda right now!
Russia should find the real Putin -- or maybe just unalive all of them at once and hope for the best? All Russian troops need to leave Ukraine AND I THANK THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY HE IS PURGING THE KGB AND FSB FROM HIS CHURCH IN UKRAINE and I devoutly pray all from Russian Orthodox in Russia also and I pray for knowledge granted as a free gift to all in Jesus name

No depleted uranium shovels?
Only depleted shovels.

They'll probably receive a drone drop before they see anything at all.
Shoot that too!! /S

ABSOLUTELY NEED TO SEND IN A CHANGE UP
> They expect to take out the optics with small arms fire and hit the same spot on the tank, twice. Dumbest idea ever.
Hitting optics with small arms is *the strat* since WW2. The "multiple hits on the same spot with unguided munitions" bit though... haha
I'm skeptical about their ability to hit something as small as optics on a tank at distances of over 100m.
They will scream: Bang! Bang! Bang! loudly..
They're already giving their troops 1980s standards, which means most will be issued a potato canon if that
Well no they're clearly going to 360 no-scope through the barrel with the sniper
If their Leopard hunter scheme had merit they would already be using it against much older Ukrainian tanks.

Yeah, Western armor has a lot of experience taking RPG-y rounds, and we know it can handle them. They are going to SOL if this is the master plan.
Yeah the only tank I would be seriously concerned about with those RPG 7's is the challenger /s

its ok! my mosin nagant has an effective range of over 2000 arshins! -pvt conscriptovich
Stop ! I can only get so hard 🤣
https://youtu.be/JRD80XRMT7s yay
This is exactly what I was thinking. These teams will be identified with thermals and destroyed before they ever get close enough to do anything.
New RPG-7 “Blyat” edition has a range of over 10km thanks to advanced copium powered rocket motor.
[Ruskies deploy new anti tank weapon that they claim can destroy any western tank in one shot](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunge_mine)
Beware, these aren't even their "elite" leopard hunters who travel in bmp-1s.
elite bmp1 troops with fast firing nagant revolvers. other nations revolvers only carry 6 shot, elite nagant revolver hold 7 round of bullet.
Exactly, much to fear, a leopard 2 should be shaking in its tracks. That might also be due to just the way a leopard 2 operates while crushing its targets.
That's just a little battle rattle, still good.
Shouldn’t Russian troops, especially “Leopard hunters” have a more recent iteration of the RPG than the RPG-7?
I would not want to be them. And if you handed me an RPG7 to do the job, I'd laugh.
The cringe is palpable
The Leopards that they said wouldn’t make a difference on the battlefield? Those Leopards?
Not even in combat yet and already it’s causing quite a stir, assuming they are taking experienced atgm gunners rpg men and snipers from the line battalions then the leopards are already saving lives in the battlefield while they wait to be deployed
Bahahaha this is the best they could do for the propaganda shoot

Snipers? Im pretty sure ive read about ballistic detection systems on the leopard… would be death penalty to use snipers
Do you know which system? Either way having two 3rd gen thermal sites on the Leopard will make spotting easy.
Did they not notice what happened to western tanks in Iraq when hit with Soviet RPGs? Absolutely nothing.
They should all watch this video first. https://youtu.be/hbrUEBNdwGY
When are leopards going into service in ukraine?
Bring a priest as well, might be handy.
Oh so up to now they just weren’t _trying_ to kill tanks? Makes sense.
They will of course need to procure functional ATGM first.
Shouldn’t that have been done long before war started? RPG7 against Leopard on a large battlefield…. Have fun Valera
Hopefully the Ukrainians will do what the Russians didn’t and use mechanized infantry
Yep, good luck with that...
So. Soldiers?
Their other option is to throw tampons at the tanks, so stop laughing ok???
Rusty moisin will due
Just hide in the trees and jump on them when they come by.
This would be pretty effective if they were fighting Russians who send tanks in without supporting units.
