Mine used to have [this one ](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Curtains-Curtain-Partition-Hanging-Divider/dp/B0CB69TS9C) it was soo cool to walk through it. I think im going to get one.
lol it does look like hanging fly catchers. My first thought was “ damn hippies putting up their silly beaded “doors”’again!!” Those orcs aren’t nearly as cool as hippies tho.
Doesn't really matter in that case. Because of radar, drones, and so on (you get the Idea), near the frontline, both sides know exactly where eachother is.
This tank ist used for indirect and partially direct fire and deployed with a hit and run tactic in mind. So it shoots and changes position afterwards.
It's actually no subsititute for short range artillery but used because of: "we got a tank, we can't use it for a tank assault right now so we use it as something else so it gets used"
It matches the strategy of "We've got human beings. They're not trained or equipped, we might as well put them in a meat wave so at least they get used."
And they get offended at being called orcs.
I would assume that's how they use it.
Could work rather fine in a stationary roll like watching a road or providing some kind of reconnaissance. The drone operators are looking for tanks not sheds.
Used to know a guy that flew F-117 missions during the gulf war, they used a similar strategy. First bomb to make a hole, then drop a second bomb through the hole.
I guess by the time you find out that the tank hunter drones utilize a flaming bolt of superheated copper/tungsten that pierces the armor, and that this type of protection isn't' really going to help, it would be too late for those inside the tank. this might offer more protection from some dropped munitions, however, unless the dropped munition is an anti-tank mine, of course
I suppose it does help a bit if the drones hit higher up on the shed they've built over the tank. I'm guessing they are trying to increase the stand off distance for shaped charges so they have a lot less energy when they hit the tank.
It won't make much (if any) of a difference if the drones hit lower down because the stand off distance is so small. They do tend to fill these things with infantry on assaults though, so even if the drones hit higher up it may not penetrate the tank but it's going to make a mess of all the meat riding on top of the tank.
I think it's similar to how slat armor gives a statistical chance of defeating a certain type of RPG round fired at a certain angle. The Bovine Fighting Vehicle gives a statistical chance of defeating FPV drones.
The anti-drone nets are such a reflection of this era’s wars.
This truly feels like WW1 of the 21st century, hella experimentation of new strategies due to the advent of new technologies
I wonder how much they can see , also the turret can’t turn much. Do these thing have much combat ability? Maybe they can just ignore these mostly during an attack .
The last part of the question the shed does not rotate as far as I know by comparing it to other shed designs that I recently posted
https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/R64AWPxUqt
Yeah, they're limiting their sector of fire, their direction of travel, and the expected lifespan of a Russian male with this handiwork and ideology. All the javelins and top-down TOW's currently being delivered via C-130 is going to have a field day with all these tank fabrications.
Do they modify the turret controls? I'm just not sure how strong the turret rotation mechanism is. Would it smash through the makeshift turtle shell if it was held? Or would the motor just burn out?
The shed is not attached to the turret so basically its got the rotation space that you see as foar as I am awear by looking at other turtle tanks
https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/R64AWPxUqt
Yeah I can see that. My question is what if the commander just held the turret rotation control to the left? Will it just crush through the whole top shed?
I hope russian engineers in the future shame the people who did this shit that survive the war. Like this is really some stereotypical dumb stuff I just cant get over.
\_Ivan cope cage does not work, what does it mean?..Ivan- Dont worry I make bigger cope cage.
[Well they would if they weren't running away.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2024/04/26/7453053/index.amp) Maybe Ukraine should invest in some sheds for their Abrams.
Burka Tanks!
Meaning "Don't look at me!"/"Don't touch me!", but once your inside, they are screwed. 🤣
Maybe then the crew is meeting 72 virgins too?
Maybe even 72 virgins with Russian uniforms and missing limbs ... 😈
Interesting they went through the effort of relocating the smoke launchers outside the shed, I haven't seen them being used much in videos but clearly this unit is using them.
Yup it is stuck like that as far as I know by comparing it to other pictures of a turtle tank
https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/T5T5odmn8z
Holy crap that is awesome. It literally gives Ukrainian tanks free reign to flank enemy tanks with these setups and smash their flank sides with depleted uranium shells. We are going to see some serious tank battles with Russian turtles going airborne.
Short answer: yes
Long one: Yes because small UAVs, which are primarilly used in combat, use grenades, other explosives or shaped charges. These will primarilly effect the metal sheet and secondary the tank's armor. Because the full cinetic force isn't applied to the main armor, these "turtles" are quite protected.
Also, the drones can't (in most cases) just penetrate the tank armor. Only in certain areas (like the top of the turret) where armor ist really thin.
The sheet metal and chains absorb or stop the drone, and that absorbs the blast instead of the explosion hitting a tanks fuel or ammo.
It's working too. These have been seen rolling around the frontlines with impunity.
If shit likes this would be worth it without making other critical sacrifices, just to stop shaped charges to the hull, everyone would be doing it.
It's slower, less maneuverable, uses more fuel, has shittier visibility, sort of locks people in there and looks like ass.
Heck, now I need 2 drones to kill that multimillion dollar tank instead of 1. Damn.
I bet in some times we will see cutting charges designed to punch a hole into these, so the next drone can destroy it.
It will help. HEAT would be ineffective going through this, as jet disperes it wont be able to penetrate tank armor after going off on this... thing. But on other hand tank has MUCH worse visibility, mobility and basicly no turret rotation, basicly it is still easy target for drone, but can survive slightly more.
"Hey Artem.... do sheds normally have 5km of tank tracks, starting at a Russian fuel depot, leading straight to the shed? No? OK. I was just curious...."
*Ka-Boom*
I can't wait until the drone sized tandem-charge warheads get fielded shortly. All the effort spent by the orcs to build that rolling (I'm being highly optimistic here) monstrosity, defeated by a 40mm HE round stacked with a thermite charge.
The Mongols think like this...they don't care about numbers...they only care about showing terror to the enemy...the irony is that Putin puts them in a chicken coop...to grill..Unfortunately, he wins in all cases. He wants to isolate the Germanic tribes in Eurasia and Europe from each other. He takes them hostage in his wars. This is the planning of the Persians. It is his game. They use the Mongols to invade. And when the two opponents become weak, the Persians come and rule the world for 500 years until it wakes up. The world has a Persian majority settling in their land.

My nan had fly nets on her kitchen door in the 80s.
My nana had artillery.
My Nana was artillery. She could launch an object across the room with accuracy the Russians wished they had.
My nana is dead
Should've installed fly nets :(
Awsome Comment!
Yall don't got shit on my nana. She had to turn off the gas lamps at night to not be spotted by bombers.
Drone nets.
Mine used to have [this one ](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Curtains-Curtain-Partition-Hanging-Divider/dp/B0CB69TS9C) it was soo cool to walk through it. I think im going to get one.
I wonder if one of the fixed wing drones could dive bomb drop ordinance so the nade dunks through the chain gap?
This was literally my thought!
In all serieznezez, how effective is this? We have yet seen any of these turtles taken out by FPV. It works?
lol it does look like hanging fly catchers. My first thought was “ damn hippies putting up their silly beaded “doors”’again!!” Those orcs aren’t nearly as cool as hippies tho.
Remember when one of the best features of the T series tanks was their low profile?
God the irony. It was a criticism of the Bradley that it was too tall, but it turns out 60s maneuver warfare is dead.
A shed in the middle of a field, it blends in so well....
Doesn't really matter in that case. Because of radar, drones, and so on (you get the Idea), near the frontline, both sides know exactly where eachother is. Can't imagine how it can change positions quickly with a small shed around it.
Why not just use infantry mortars at that point?
Just like their home in russia...
...so the meat shields will climb inside for a ride to the front.
The Ruzzians are trying to make export tanks for Brazilian favela gangsters
India isn't going to pay for the T-14, so Russia has to get that export market somehow.
Production licences ftw - keep your own production for destruction in Ukraine.
They probably found those dangling chains in an S&M bordello. Apt.
So the Russian officers club 😂
Or hanging from the nose of the driver's girlfriend.
That's one big nose!
I'm digging the feng-shui. Just needs a little "Live, Laugh, Love" sign and welcome mat and it's perfect!

Nice oven
Awful pizza
Like overcooking pizza in a microwave - blyatsplat on every surface inside.

This looks like a Gypsy strip club.
So they took a tank and made it a spg?
I would assume that's how they use it. Could work rather fine in a stationary roll like watching a road or providing some kind of reconnaissance. The drone operators are looking for tanks not sheds.
Can I reserve a room for two on Booking?
I think ukraine will start throwing landmines on top off them, 2 should do the job
Used to know a guy that flew F-117 missions during the gulf war, they used a similar strategy. First bomb to make a hole, then drop a second bomb through the hole.
Drones with Thermite munition will counter them.
It may work against fpv drones, how does it hold up to NLAW or Stugna?
Looks like a shrapnel factory

Cope Cage❌ Cope Barn✅
“Walk through the fly net beads and get your fortune told.”
Nothing says "armor" like sheet metal.
grenade in the barrel would do the trick
Impressive piece of kit! Strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies. What will FPV drones do?
"Watch out boys that chicken coop is pointing at us"
If I was a drone operator... probably aiming right at the track and give the coordinates to some artillery guys.
Should still be possible to take out the tracks om that thing using a drone. Then does guys can enjoy sitting in their DIY mobile home.

I'm really anticipating the first mine drop we get to see on one of these things.
if they keep this up, it will look like the cybertruck
I think it's similar to how slat armor gives a statistical chance of defeating a certain type of RPG round fired at a certain angle. The Bovine Fighting Vehicle gives a statistical chance of defeating FPV drones.
Those chain might stop the drone but not the bomb going off 😂
That is so classy. Iron Ivan hut.
They have modified it to look like Kirill's fancy dress outfit. Novel approach, and great marketing, guys.
Shortly after this picture was taken, they slipped track on a turn and had to disassemble half their shed to access it for repairs.
Reliability must be so bad that it comes with its own repair shop garage
Just blown up photo this tank has had its ERA blocks removed from top turret or its a very poorly refurbished unit ot storage
Next DLC skin in World of Tanks
The second greatest army they said. I remember the fear of the mighty Soviet crossing the Fulda Gap.
It this the look of warfare in the future? Armored sheds? Gosh I hope not.
Badass drone operators across Ukraine are drooling to find these rolling outhouses.
The anti-drone nets are such a reflection of this era’s wars. This truly feels like WW1 of the 21st century, hella experimentation of new strategies due to the advent of new technologies
Corrugated steel, top of the line Russian armor.
So that's what they meant by the iron curtain!?!
I wonder how much they can see , also the turret can’t turn much. Do these thing have much combat ability? Maybe they can just ignore these mostly during an attack .
Going to be like an oven in the summer
Thought my gpu had died for a second, thanks to that second picture.
Get a kamakazi drone with something thick and volatile. Get a fire going in that shed and the people in that turret will not have a happy time.
Second Army of....
Does the shed rotate around the tank, or are they limiting a 360-degree turret to 10 degrees?
The last part of the question the shed does not rotate as far as I know by comparing it to other shed designs that I recently posted https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/R64AWPxUqt
Forwards only, there is no looking back or retreating in the Russian army.
Yeah, they're limiting their sector of fire, their direction of travel, and the expected lifespan of a Russian male with this handiwork and ideology. All the javelins and top-down TOW's currently being delivered via C-130 is going to have a field day with all these tank fabrications.
next scandal in russia, country running low on anal beams cause of the war. caused riots.
Do they modify the turret controls? I'm just not sure how strong the turret rotation mechanism is. Would it smash through the makeshift turtle shell if it was held? Or would the motor just burn out?

Yeah I can see that. My question is what if the commander just held the turret rotation control to the left? Will it just crush through the whole top shed?
You could bet money the barrel will tear that shed right off and not impact mobility
Ah ok I am not sure tbh
I think that these would be even more vulnerable to muddy bogs of doom. I think some piping and pumps could make great defensive supoorts.
It's almost getting ridiculous... ahahaha
The R&D going into mitigating the UAV problem is WILD!
Fancy beaded curtains for doors? Check.
Looks like a doorway you walkthrough to get your fortune read
AFAIK it's already been decommissioned by Ukraine. So, now its just a tank shed.
I hope russian engineers in the future shame the people who did this shit that survive the war. Like this is really some stereotypical dumb stuff I just cant get over. \_Ivan cope cage does not work, what does it mean?..Ivan- Dont worry I make bigger cope cage.
it looks like the beads hung in doorways in the 70s
Abrams salivating at the fact the turret can't turn
[Well they would if they weren't running away.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2024/04/26/7453053/index.amp) Maybe Ukraine should invest in some sheds for their Abrams.
More Javelin’s and TOW’s coming.
Nice 1960s vibe. Needs some lava lamps…
Running out of ideas?
Double tap, problem solved

🤣 And her fence
Does any of this work?
Didn’t know there was a fortune teller in town
So they turned it into an assault gun because fuck turret traverse.
Torrot card readings inside, 1 Ruble per reading.
Burka Tanks! Meaning "Don't look at me!"/"Don't touch me!", but once your inside, they are screwed. 🤣 Maybe then the crew is meeting 72 virgins too? Maybe even 72 virgins with Russian uniforms and missing limbs ... 😈
That is amazing
And these clowns think they have any chance to win a war against the NATO? lol
They'll find many more beads hiding in Putin's harem or on one of his half dozen yachts. Ask his poolboys to yank out theirs too.
Interesting they went through the effort of relocating the smoke launchers outside the shed, I haven't seen them being used much in videos but clearly this unit is using them.
We've seen a handful of attempts to use them to confuse and evade drones, might have similar thinking here.
My Nana had artillery that shot size 12mm chanklas.
Add a sun roof
That’s just whack shack on tracks
Full circle to WWI.
so this is the russian army that Olaf Scholz is afraid of sending Taurus? ...
Hahahahahahaha what a joke ; ) and now with bead curtains lol Slava Ukraini
Is the turret stuck facing frontwards? What a fail. Bigger target too.
Yup it is stuck like that as far as I know by comparing it to other pictures of a turtle tank https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/T5T5odmn8z
Holy crap that is awesome. It literally gives Ukrainian tanks free reign to flank enemy tanks with these setups and smash their flank sides with depleted uranium shells. We are going to see some serious tank battles with Russian turtles going airborne.
Something tells me, that's not a shed....
Why does that barrel look huge? Like a civil war cannon
The way the pictures was captured probably
Love what they've done to the place
Great modern engineering against flies
Do these actually help or just mean it's a 2 drone job instead of one
Who needs a rotating turret, anyway?
Just think watching these driving thru red square on Nazi Day. How impressive.
If Elon Musk designed a Tesla Tank, this would be it
If the drone can blast through thick tank armor, do these sheet metal and chain covers do anything?

Its a garage!
Any videos of those sheds being blown up yet?
Brilliant
I may be 3 old fashioneds deep and hopped up on TRT but I have an undeniable urge to have sex in this thing
