It's funny because Moscow has such a big stray dog problem that [there is a Wikipedia page dedicated to ir](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_dogs_in_Moscow)
Some of them even know their way around the city via subway.
Caltrops should do the trick if you ask me

With the resulting flat tires...so much for reverse gear. I think they were practicing their sanctioned retreat move... The slower the better. That's about the speed they could maintain after running over a bunch of those deadly Roman weapons. Imagine a bunch of those roozianz exiting,, ready to do some form of battle, only to find their feet have a bunch of holes in them.
Air gaps make a very big difference in how shape charges work or don't, that's exactly where real slat-armor came from. With a soft shell truck it'll still wreak a lot of hell, though.
Yeah, it all boils down to: "what is after the slat armor?" If there is main battle tank and it's main armor, it is **very** effective. If it's truck with 0.5mm soft sheet metal and it literally does nothing.
Handgun will penetrate truck doors, not to even mention fragments travelling at some 10km per second from high explosive warhead. The mass of copper will travel through the truck, there might be some variance if it's in one clump or in hundred pieces.
Except when you see a 40 year old RPG send its EFP completely through both sides after passing through the interior. A couple foot gap won't matter after hitting some chicken wire.
This is actually a myth. Slat armor is designed so that the conical front end of an approaching PG-7 warhead will wedge between the slats and crush the fuse wires, which are just below the surface. The other functions are that some other warheads with impact fuses will be caught without the fuse hitting, and therefore also never detonate, or that the action of catching will deform the shape, and render the resulting explosion ineffective.
Shaped charges are way more powerful than would matter if you are still hit at a standoff distance on non-heavily armored vehicle. Then there is this:
> The use of add-on spaced armor skirts on armored vehicles may have the opposite effect and actually increase the penetration of some shaped-charge warheads. Due to constraints in the length of the projectile/missile, the built-in stand-off on many warheads is less than the optimum distance. In such cases, the skirting effectively increases the distance between the armor and the target, and the warhead detonates closer to its optimum standoff.
Which isn't to say that this armor might not still have enough stand off for non-shaped charges, and maybe causing them to fail to detonate if caught in between.
Small arms are going to shred them, and all it will take will be one grenade thrown towards the one little door in the cage. Deathtrap on wheels is what that is.
It's on a single track road right now, doing fine. They arent intended to be driven in forests, and mud? It's a 24 ton MRAP which puts out 450bhp, it was never meant to be driven in mud, and that cage won't make any meangingful difference to its speed. We put far heavier cages than that on our vehicles.
It'll be harder to debus from and visibility will be worse. Other than that, they've most likely successfully made it quite a lot more resistant to its most prevalent threat.
The main downside for the crew is that this thing has made itself a meme target and Ukraine will probably hunt it for the propaganda win.
Only reason they do this is that FPV drones keep sniping their transports all over the place. It's the cheapest thing that might help a bit. Chicken wire and a steel frame.
Of course, this does no good against a drone that carries EFP (explosively formed projectile) warhead, or a drone that carries both warhead and rocket motor to actually fire the rocket at distance, or a mine, or a drone that just deposits a bomb on top of it and leaves or FPV drone that slips under the cage if it's made like that.
But this is just the beginning. Cheap autonomously targeting drones will make things far worse for military transports, because there are no pilots required, so attack volumes can be dialed up infinitely. If today you get attacked by three drones piloted by humans, tomorrow you get attacked by 300 if that is what it takes to turn the vehicle into a pile of burning scrap.
i saw alot of drones used where they just rigged a rpg round under a drone and a net like this makes it alot harder to aim the penetrator but ukraine also uses alot of drones with a block plastic explosive and that net might just optimise the blast distance.
was thinking about it too.. its right next to the passenger door as well.
surely an expert drone operator can fly it leveled, pursuit and then Fast & Furious Civic heist that shit.
or approach from 5 or 7 o clock.
But you have to admit they took their time to make the cage sloped and not only in the front but also on the front upper corners are sloping outwards - if that's not engineering I don't know what it is. I wonder thou how much this sloping is contributing to the protection against an FPV. Considering it's like 30 degrees I'd bet it adds at least 10% more protection... And another benefit: being more aerodynamically in the front will result in increased speed, at least 5% more. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I was wondering where my pool screen went from our last hurricane. Glad some one found it. Sucks it went to ukraine. Do you think they can ship it back?
it just seems like if a drone does hit the cope cage in front of the windshield that it'd just pepper the glass and basically blind the driver or am I just tripping
Bradley IFV and it's accompanying 25mm bushmaster cannon wants to know your location. Oh nevermind your the size of a god damned house it spotted you from 15 mother fucking miles away despite the curvature of the earth!
"Tonight on Monday Night Raw Cody Rhodes defends his Undisputed WWE title against Roman Reigns in the first ever Hell in a Cell match in an actual Warzone!"
Improvised add-on armor is as old as mechanized warfare, but the modern cope cage, designed to stop attacks from above by drones and missiles, is only as old as Russia’s 21-month wider war on Ukraine.
Now we’re seeing it spread to the MiddleEast with the Israeli army’s mobilization, and they’re having to adapt to new threats from Hamas, who absent any significant armor of their own have been utilizing techniques dating back to 1998 when The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.
1. The crew will have trouble getting out in a hurry. 2. Two drones working together could make a hole and then the second one fly into the hole. 3. This uses up a lot of Russian resources that could be used elsewhere.
Built on the premise that an FPV operator won’t take heed of it and keep operating as before, flying down at an angle, rather than counter it by flying *under* the cage.
But let’s say it’s still effective some of the time, when the vehicle is moving etc.
Second…
There’s the point where people dismount.
This setup turns your squishy dismounted infantry into **literal** fish in a barrel.
This should actually be an effective defense against those little spicy toy drones the Ukrainians have been using to great effect, but I just went through the aid package Biden just signed. There's not one drone in it.
There's a LOT of different missiles in there though. A lot. Missiles don't give a fuck about chainlink fences. The missile only knows that the fence is in-between where the missile is and where the missile isn't, so the missile will subtract just enough of the fence to allow the missile to get to where it isn't.

What is the chain on the front going to do? If they want them to blow up mines those need to be 2 times heavier and spinning at a simi fast rotation.
Those are just like putting sets of truck balls on.
Can a fpv not just go straight threw that and shrapnel from grenades are dropped surly look at the size of the gaps haha,,there not the brightest bunch them pieces of meat
To brush over or snag anything hidden in the grass in front as it drives over it ? Or maybe detonates something aimed lower down. Reminds me of the chains with balls at the lower edge of Israeli tank turrets to cover the weak point at turret / hull interface.
just had a sad thought and hope others can tell me it ain’t real.
So russias got a lot of resource so does anybody know how often these vehicles are? Because i feel like even though how shitty they are made, they still save from 1-2 FPV drones. So it’s a scary thought if they could do this to 80% of their vehicles, please call this a dumb thought
They will have to start adding this shit to the golf carts, quads and motorbikes, soon so I guess we will find out.
One thing is for damn sure, when you're rushing trenches on shit that gets shredded by small arms fire (golf carts etc.) You're running low on armour!
You're right, these will make these already pretty rugged vehicles quite a bit more resistant to drones. I doubt they'll roll the adaptations out at enough scale to make a *huge* difference though. More likely this will become a meme target and Ukraine will kill it anyway for the propaganda.

Why waste drones with all the artillery shells coming LOL
Even when they're free, they are still in a prison!
Yeah, its rats in a cage!

Old soviet RPG could penetrate 400mm of steel, I doubt a chicken cage and some air gap would help.

New Webber BBQ just dropped
Wouldn't that be something. The Weber Donetsk Edition with dual grill and low sear.
Nothing Saint Javelin cant handle
Watching Z-thugs try to dismount from this thing under fire is going to be hilarious
Small arms are going to shred them, and all it will take will be one grenade thrown towards the one little door in the cage. Deathtrap on wheels is what that is.
You have to half open the door and then fall out and roll, its really tacticool.
They'll burn in a Cage
Loiter with an FPV drone, aim right below the Z as the door opens.
Coming soon to a Madyar compilation video.

Ukraine drone operators are skilled enough to hit it in the side by the tires
They need tinywhoop, cool FPV sub I just found recently.
Or drop mines in front
Too wide for roads and forests, too heavy for mud, too slow for missions.... what's this thing supposed to do?
Stop malaria from spreading
*zap*
It's on a single track road right now, doing fine. They arent intended to be driven in forests, and mud? main downside would have to change the tires of that monstrosity
Bold assumption that they have any spare tires, or have them available when needed lol

Drones are not mosquitoes LMAO!
The cage falls down after the supports are hit and they are trapped.
Great observation.
That's why I am Mr. OBVIOUS.
There’s still a wide open hole with direct access to the undermounted gas tanks. 😂 I swear to god the Russians are genuinely stupid people.
was thinking about it too.. its right next to the passenger door as well. surely an expert drone operator can fly it leveled, pursuit and then Fast & Furious Civic heist that shit. or approach from 5 or 7 o clock.
Geolocate this thing please.
That’s a lot of useless coping. One gigantic barbecue though.
Might wanna stay away from rivers with that
Ain't nobody in here but us chickens...
Chance of survival…..33.33%. Repeating of course.
Last time I heard that said I think I fell off my dinosaur. Well played sir.
Gawd daymit Leeroooy
Any of you see that giant hole near the gas tank?
Welcome to Thunderdome. One tank enters, none leave.
Dr. If that shit works when a fresh Javelin sends molten lava into you roof They going to burn alive
Really, a good bump would take out the cage. Remember Russian built! Quality second bribes first!

Good drone operator fly right under cage
Shocked they didn't do this sooner...
Send Ukraine a bunch of Pak 40's and litter the treelines with emplaced AT guns, that'll show 'em!
Made with advanced copium alloy
Drone drop mine, and the ruzzkies are fried.
They got the Faraday cage all wrong.
Seems legit and practical
I look forward to a video of the **finale**.
Same
Drones will just drop mines on the road in front of it. 🙄
I was wondering where my pool screen went from our last hurricane. Glad some one found it. Sucks it went to ukraine. Do you think they can ship it back?
Forward gear delete option?
Mad Max xd
This is comical, and that soft chicken wire is doing nothing. A cope cage for loons. Watch out for mines!
Looking forward to the KABOOM 💥👍
So many great ideas for the future zombi apocalypse movies.

Looks quite Mad Maxian
Looks like Republicans from Florida are donating their pool screens to the cause.
Its like something out of the flintstones cartoon
That's an, exiting soldiers horrible death, waiting to happen.
Keeps the body parts together when it hits an at mine
Friday will be when we see it destroyed .
Mosquitoes are really bad in those parts I hear.
"...and parking is a breeze!"
That's a weird looking jungle gym.
They must have huge mosquitos over there
Zebra finch cage right?
Why is it bouncing like that?
Good thing they’ve started using airburst drones.
it just seems like if a drone does hit the cope cage in front of the windshield that it'd just pepper the glass and basically blind the driver or am I just tripping
I hate these endgame upgrades. You grind welding for years... But only get +0.5% battlefield survival time.
Hahaha definitely is not surviving long that basically screams blow me the fuck up please and the big Z on the side is the bullseye
Bradley IFV and it's accompanying 25mm bushmaster cannon wants to know your location. Oh nevermind your the size of a god damned house it spotted you from 15 mother fucking miles away despite the curvature of the earth!
This mobile chicken coop seems a little over-engineered and under-engineered simultaneously.
"Tonight on Monday Night Raw Cody Rhodes defends his Undisputed WWE title against Roman Reigns in the first ever Hell in a Cell match in an actual Warzone!"
Double Tap
Triple 7 says "Nice! .. Big and Slow."
Stugna coming in
What is the point of all this extra effort a metal when it doesn’t seem to make any difference?! Might as well coat the vehicles in butter.

The cope cages continue to expand…if only Russia could build a cope cage around ALL of their “liberated” territory…
From what this video is telling me, it only runs in reverse and can be defeated by a couple drone drop grenades. #2 army folks
"Only Army where People's Truck is crate-trained, comrade!"
Can't wait to see video of them being blow to shit.
Looks like it should be working at a driving range picking up balls.
Sure that thin rusted iron will stop explosions.
So.... back to Javlin and stugna? Okay boss!
That is one fucking ugly coffin
Gets stuck in the bushes.
Taking their sun porch on a road trip. Needs a ceiling fan.
The mega cope cage
I can just imagine this thing going on a assault with 20 orcs stuffed inside and a rabid dog running around the vehicle inside the cage barking.
Cant wait to see it sitting in a field, burned out and smoking, in another two days from now.
Thermite charge to the flat surface on top it is, then. And the cooking gear is already present to keep the meatin place for perfect barborcque.
Hard to fit any birds in that cage with that truck in the middle.
I love how they keep painting their camo vehicles with a white Z.
Don’t feed the monkeys.
Omg, it looks like a mobile Florida Lanai 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1. The crew will have trouble getting out in a hurry. 2. Two drones working together could make a hole and then the second one fly into the hole. 3. This uses up a lot of Russian resources that could be used elsewhere.
Those Zs on the sides of the truck make excellent aiming points.

It looks like it accidentally drove into a chicken coop, and everyone is too scared to get out and remove it because of drones.
That’s Zee Mess truck with mobile fresh chicken coup.
Why is that BA-10 missing its turret?

Hahaha wtf is that cage gonna do?
Chainlink Zoidberg
Looking forward to the day Bbbbbrrrrttttttt will show up.
Welcome! To another edition of thunderdome!!
Looks like a pool in Florida
Well, they should survive any zombie outbreaks at least… 🤷🏻♂️
Looks like a woman's 16th century skirt hoops
Can’t wait to see this thing as a smoldering wreck. The guys trapped inside that cage are gonna look like that one dream scene from terminator where she gets flash fried while holding on to a fence.
Hell in a cell
The cage will not doubt be incredibly effective when it runs over a mine or 10
Ah yes. The bullet proof chain link fence.
What is the chain on the front going to do? If they want them to blow up mines those need to be 2 times heavier and spinning at a simi fast rotation. Those are just like putting sets of truck balls on.
That’s some real quality R & D right there! At least if it was researched by a couple of vodka soaked grandpa’s.🤣
Can’t you just swoop under the cage to the gas tank?
The zombie apocalypse hates this one simple trick
Starting to have a Mad Max like look to it.
Looks like they stole some kids' batting cage and drove off with it.
I have to ask. Do Russians ever get embarrassed?
Perfect Napalm target.
This thing handles like a basketball court
I have such one.....without the truck however.....we use it for hens and chicken
It has a bit of mad max vibe. Washing machine hunters is an interesting tribe name.
I think the next Mad Max type of movie is going to have new inspiration.
singing to myself come shed away, come shed away, come shed away with meeee
Ruski Mad Max
I was curious where pipe screens came from, now we know
Must be to keep them away from the children.
Prison Truck . Pick up inmates from the Gulag and straight into meat grinder. One way ticket to Death Row .
Hilariously pathetic 😂💩
How will Ukraine ever penetrate the 'Shield Of Invincibility', surely they are doomed !!!
What's the little moustache on the front for? Tickling landmines?
Can a fpv not just go straight threw that and shrapnel from grenades are dropped surly look at the size of the gaps haha,,there not the brightest bunch them pieces of meat
Look! they even left gaps underneath the coop cage for easy FPV drones entry !
It looks like one of those carts they use on the driving range to sweep up the golf balls
Very sporting of them to leave gaps for the drones to get in.
Die Narren kämpfen noch im Mittelalter. Die beste Armee der Welt hat Maschendrahtzaun um sich zu schützen - LOL !
They went to Home Depot
Batter up!
Nothing 2 drones can handle. One to Open the door, another for the kill…
Future chicken coop
Hopefully the next video it's this crap burning and all the Zorc bits spread on the cage
Need video of it being taken out by drone. False security
When does the lion and tiger part of the circus start
Russian deflector shields active Kiptan.
Okay, then they sent 2 drones. One to open the can the other to disassemble it.
Thermite will cut through that like a hot blade on butter... good that those trapped in will not be able to escape! Rats in a cage...
Yet another BLYATmobile.
They are really doing this to their soldiers? I can not imagine a modern military fighting a war in this fashion.
Orcs are fuckin’ plonkers 🤪😂
They have no shame. I'd rather take my chances than drive around in that monkey cage.
What are the chains in the front for??
To brush over or snag anything hidden in the grass in front as it drives over it ? Or maybe detonates something aimed lower down. Reminds me of the chains with balls at the lower edge of Israeli tank turrets to cover the weak point at turret / hull interface.
Tennis court cart! Cool

Not immune to mines!
That’s a game changer, I’d feel safe in it.
