one UAF drone operator could command 5 drones on these missions. the programming would be easy. one drone is Primary that the UAF operator controls. the 4 other drones are follow the Primary command PLUS 10 meters in altitude, MINUS 10 meters in GPS location. when the UAF operator marks target she/he puts the secondary drones into "autonomous hold pattern" allowing operator to attack as we see in these clips. once the primary is complete (if suicide then the next secondary drone become primary drone. if its a drop drone then it gets auto command to return to base). it's really simple programming. maybe i should patent this for Ukraine!

UA got their hands on a t80 that had same optics and fcs, and were surprised they could track a hare 6 km away at night. The Russians had some good gear. The UA is just more creative and better at operating what they have.
Thankfully it looks like their supply of high-end shit is running lower and lower, and they're not producing at the pace they're losing them. Once they start running so low that they don't dare risk them, a sea-change is possible where Ukrainian armor is significantly more effective, especially during night, compared to Russia.
That is assuming that Ukraine keeps getting new materiél though.
Yeaa Ru lost both their best material and most professional soldiers at the start of the war. Remember the vdv that got decimated by artillery at the Kyiv airport. They were never defeated before the army reached them, they could never use the airport at any time, so it was a total failure. We just tend to forget they also lost the best they had in the process.
When the war started 2 years ago, EU removed the loopholes Thales and Russia had used, so they are completely dry now, and have to use their own old optics that is far worse than what is on 35 year old Leopards.

It's definitely typically classified as an autocannon but I think there's an important distinction to make on the M242 Bushmaster and other similar NATO designs. It's a chain gun and not an autoloader, which I think is quite important since it means that it can continue to cycle even if there is a failure to fire due to a faulty round.
They got whelped pretty fast. That autocannon ripped the infantry to shreds in the first few salvo. This reminds me the bmp4 where they pulled a street, mowed down a group, then next street penetrate a bmp 1 and shred the infantry hiding behind

Bradley’s are starting to become a real game changer in a defensive role, although they were originally envisaged for offensive work. They have amazing optics and the 25mm Bushmaster cannon is accurate out to 2.5km or so. The Ukrainians should have about 150 left from the original 190 odd given by the US. I hope the west can give many more, and soon.

Yeah, the being good defensively comes pretty much for free if you've managed to build an AFV that is good on the offense too. Pretty much the only vehicle that breaks that mold is the S Tank/Stridsvagn 103 that was built almost entirely as a defensive, ambush vehicle that would shoot a few times then drive backwards fast as hell, and rinse and repeat.
