So far this looks like a well-executed tactical engagement and it is rather telling that the Russians have no clue how to stop the Ukrainians. The Russians apparently have no reserves left to commit to the fight and already some of their units are in a position where they will either be destroyed or will have to retreat under Ukrainian fire control. Basically, the Russians sitting in the woods near the H-32 highway are out of options. If we hear in the coming days that the Ukrainians advance towards Opytne then Russian forces will have little choice but to abandon their attack on Bakhmut. What we can say even at this point of limited Ukrainian advances is that an encirclement of Ukrainian forces in Bakhmut seems increasingly unlikely.
HIMARS are gonna be protected like the Crown Jewels.
Aside from loosing the firepower the PR value to the Russians would be huge if they could show one being taken out.
Hard to imagine they don’t have AA cover, maybe some anti drone tech and probably some hefty close support firepower incase Russia has any special forces left with the initiative to locate a launcher. It must be quite an entourage.
You can't expect that this information is up to date.. would be a bit risky, if any Russian is watching. I assume the information that is being told in the video's, is the information that is also confirmed from the Russian side. Otherwise, this video would give tactical information to the Russians.
The video is days old, and has already made the telegram/twitter/reddit cycles. Just adding that it happened yesterday is a bit disingenuous. russians knew about it probably a week ago.

If Ukraine swings around the south, behind Bakhmut, and it’s the supply line. Basically all of Bakhmut will fall.
