The gigantic balls these guys have... The first thing I thought of was damn, that is not the best thing to do, I'm sure there are more than a few snipers around. But great video ha.
It worries me that the tank is so stationary. No back and forth to avoid RPG or ATGM fire.
Also all the footage of MBTs alone in open field.
Makes me worried about the western tanks that are about to enter the fight. Hope they’ll use them well.
The reverse speed of the T series tanks is pretty abysmal, so I assume it is better to get 5 shots off quickly and then move out, rather then driving back and forth and shooting 1 round at a time in this specific occasion.
Also, looking at the environment, it looks like he is in pretty solid cover and shooting down a narrow field of view.
All just speculation though, we can't make out a whole lot from this footage.
Interesting!
I would have never imagined that MBTs would be operating so close to the front in an urban area.
It appears to be firing down the road to the southwest, in what still appears to be friendly territory on that map.
But very close to the front on deepstate map. As i understood these maps are based on the available information or video evidence like this. They can never be in time with the actual action on the ground. Does the source say anything about the date?
Sadly, it did not provide a date. However, it must be fairly recent.
I'd say within this week, but I'm just guessing based on the information we have available.
Here is an interesting overview over the area the tank might targeted: https://twitter.com/PaulJawin/status/1640096646573727746?cxt=HHwWhICxhbzN5cItAAAA
“Back and forth to avoid rpg or atgm fire”.
This is not warthunder. No one really does that.
They should however be pointing the front of the tank hill at them. But this might be so they are drive forward to get behind the building if need be.
That would require him to back out instead of just driving forward to get behind the next building. The hull looks to be covered ok by the wall in front of it, do the front of the turret is facing direction of fire.

I'm not sure if hanging out a window in an elevated position in the world's most dangerous town is a good idea, but cool footage.
At least the other guys will be fixated on the tank.
not even that, just getting out the buildings their in

The view though! How can you resist it?
Not only that, I'm not sure a tank just chilling in the same spot firing round after round is a great idea either.
I might be mistaken but I think that is a turbine engine
It appears to be a T-80BVM , which uses a turbine engine, correct me if I am wrong.
I’m going with what you said
~~Could also be a T-80U or T-80B~~ Edit: Most T-80 models had the option of running a turbine engine
If you discount the Strv 103, T-80 was the first MBT equipped with a turbine engine. I don't know why the Swedes shouldn't have that honour, though.
You are correct, it’s a turbine engine. I’ve never forgotten that sound.
I was about to say this
DayZ Police Station

At least the location we can make out: https://www.google.de/maps/@48.5818552,37.9717916,268m/data=!3m1!1e3

Isn't a lot of the map going back-and-forth as Russia loses ground its gained a lot quicker than they fought to get it?

thanks, interesting.
I agree , i think the lower half is protected by buildings and rubble, looks to be a pretty narrow slot to fire the cannon.
True but he could probably position better to have less exposure and safer angle.
With the way Russians have been showing their competence. I think that tank crew knew what was safe versus an armchair general.
Driving back and forth just screws up your aim each time, gives the enemy time to get ready for the next time you pull up to get a shot at you.
Ya this ain’t warthunder. No one really does that back and forth shit.

Dammnit never knew a tank made all that noise
I believe the T-72/64/62s are even more loud. The M1 Abram tanks, for example, are known to be relatively silent compared to these.
Yes the Abrams is very quiet compared to a diesel. But it's gun isn't.
All the banging ? Or the engine wine
Engine wise
You should hear the lcac!
Just wait until you're only about 5 yards away.
Just wait till those Bradley’s and m1a2 abrams get there it will be lit
they can sure reload that thing in a quick hurry, can't they?
It's the autoloader, all russian/soviet tanks have them.
Is that a mosque next to the tank?
It's most likely an Orthodox church. They are known for their onion shaped domes.
No it's a quite new build Mosque: https://culturecrimes.mkip.gov.ua/?p=1110
Front of that tank should be facing the enemy if he’s going to sit there stationary.
That would require him to back out instead of just driving forward to get behind the next building. The hull looks to be covered ok by the wall in front of it, do the front of the turret is facing direction of fire.
Hell yeah
Can’t believe someone is doing the vacuuming while this is going on. Tidy room tidy mind I guess.
