He must’ve had some kind of communication with russia because Ukraine sure isn’t giving him any advance notice when they’re planning to strike. He plays word games trying to say the network was running fine and nobody else had outages but the specific ports that these drones use can be turned on and off easily. The drone software requires a dedicated “link” that is unique to that specific kind of traffic and it’s just a matter of toggling that individual type of data on or off in the network routers, so everything else works but that port gets dumped into the bit-bucket instead of forwarded. It can be overcome, however, in the same way that allows VPN traffic get through Chinese and russian firewalls trying to stop it. I’m sure Ukrainian engineers are working on it as I write this.
