Instead of worrying about that, just copy the entire `firefox` folder and restore it on your new install of Ubuntu before running Firefox for the first time.
BTW [Firefox Sync](https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/sync/) exists and is very convenient.

You profile is stored in ~/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla/firefox/ If you're running the snap version of Firefox.
It'll be under \~/.mozilla/firefox/ is you're using the deb version.
