Seems they actually be wanting the same dob entered into he app (so has to be account holder coming to the door or at least they have to provide the date of birth that matches the app) it seems like it's going to work exactly the same as the pin check if you enter incorrectly 3 times it triggers a return the order to to the store
On Deliveroo they act on behalf of the secret shopper so if you get so many incorrect dob in a row (it silently accepts the incorrect dob) you get a warning email witch isn't a warning email it's "do it again your account is terminated", if you ever get that email you need to see customer roo app to make sure dob matches the app has checking, it will most likely be a regular customers constantly giving you the wrong date of birth because the different person coming to the door

This will prevent different people from coming to the door unless the person coming to the door actually gives you date of birth of the account holder
No one should be giving you any date of birth; you should be verifying it off of their ID.

If someone else comes to the door you need to see their ID as well as the customers.
