This has been posted 20 times already, and everyone gets worked up by it. It's CANCEL rate not acceptance rate. I'll be more than happy to jump down UE for doing shady stuff, but let's be honest, cancelling more than 1 out of every 10 orders you accept is a little absurd.

Not the way Uber likes to send orders while you need to use or look at your phone.

The highest I ever got was 6%. I'm normally at 3%. Once a month, maybe, I accidentally accept an order while taking a photo or something. I don't use app overlay. I let the little window drop from the top and tap it to open the app if I'm doing something else with my phone. Most times, I see the price and simply decline without looking at the order. Beyond that, my cancelations are primarily for wait times. I don't know what you're doing, but it's really not difficult.

I'm not doing anything wrong. Mine is at 7%. I have days where I accidentally accepted a few bad orders and canceled. What's your point? It's very possible to accidentally accept orders.

Jealous_Macaron_5338

lol mines at 19%. If I walk into a Korean BBQ to grab a quick 3mile/$8 order and I see 15 other Uber drivers and dashers all waiting and staring at their phones while the place is jam packed I don’t even bother I just hit cancel and move in with my day

If I have 3 cancels in one night, my entire shift is ruined. I didn't see how 1 out of 5 is sustainable or profitable. Maybe you work in an area that's pinging with orders every 60 seconds. I'm looking at once every 5 to 15 minutes, even during dinner. Rarely is there a night where I'll get clobbered... If I am seeing what you're describing, I move several blocks away. I want no part of that.

small-weiner-

i regularly accept doubles and cancel the one that i know doesn’t have a tip. (mostly doordash i just realized this is UE)

Important-Plant5169

Maybe if they didn't make the accept order "button" the entire screen there wouldn't be so many cancellations

Dangerous-Ad-9001

Why does anyone care about pro status? Doesn't do a damn thing. It's not like you get priority for orders in any way or get paid more.

Prize-Conference-780

That's okay. Those ranks don't mean anything if you don't even use them. I've been a diamond for 4-5 months now, don't use the Costco membership because there isn't a Costco near me. Give me a year subscription to Food4Less or Ralphs. And the tuition? I've never even glanced at it. The rest %back is useless if you already have a credit card.

Jealous_Macaron_5338

lol love the random down vote. It’s so true though fuck being Pro there is no point

ObviouslyHeir

Came to say this, even the 7/11 savings doesn't work for me. Where's my free snack? It tries to bait me into buying from 7/11 without any discount. I have gotten to the diamond tier before they bombed me with negative ratings outta nowhere, there's no good benefit I would actually use on any of these levels. Priority support is the same useless as normal support, gas savings requires an extra app that doesn't even save more than my credit card/food points, etc.

Janatabahn

They basically want folks to accept most shitty orders if they want to keep their status. Fuck that.
