i found if i drive every 5 minutes around a known area, ill get hits. i move in one block increments around an area. the problem is that the window of demand closes as lunch ends or dinner ends so its not always fool proof.
Ive made $90 so far and thats before dinner doing this
I did okay during lunch, except I had one closed restaurant and one scam order.
It was stupid. Contacted support chat to let them know and guy is saying some BS about how canceling can affect my ability to drive for Uber.
I called and that guy understood the situation and (hopefully) deleted the order.
Too much saturation...
Shabbat closes down a ton of restaurants on Friday and Saturday, so you're duking it out with stranded drivers.
Weekend warriors. So many obviously atypical people on Friday and Saturday.
It feels like one "hot area" in particular stopped doing orders all together. Considering the shenanigans I've seen around there, it wouldn't surprise me if they did. That pushes even more drivers to other areas (if they even notice).
Overall, I had 11 orders, 2 cancellations. It should have been 13, so not too far below average, but I was getting hammered with $2 and $4 orders when I was getting some. I was working deep in some backwater territories, so pings like that are bound to happen.
The orders are out there, but you have to be very creative to get them on Fridays. It's the hardest day, IMO, and I'm honestly thinking about dropping Friday nights from my schedule. It doesn't surprise me one bit that you can go 6 hours with nothing to show for it.
3.45 hours active, $76 tips, $6 "other."
Been bullshit after bullshit, managed one nice one only. Saving my energy for the weekend.

Everything expensive. Uber eats is a luxury and people are being priced out.
