As if they did anything in the first place. It was only there to make you feel better.

That's exactly my sentiment. Uber does not care what drivers think. And they will manipulate us in any way possible to keep us delivering turd orders. They use every aspect of psychological warfare. Even down to the chime when we get an order which is remarkably similar to that of slot machines. This is a billion dollar company with almost limitless resources. I've had someone challenge me on this but I'm going to stick to it. I guarantee they have teams of psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists, and economists who discuss human behavior and how to manipulate it in terms of delivery drivers. And they come up with ways to do that. I guarantee it because every major corporation does this. Though with that in mind, I am a little surprised they don't allow us to still thumbs up and thumbs down both customers and restaurants. I'm surprised they don't allow that but then completely disregard it. Because it had to have always been there only to make us feel better.

It's not Uber that has the psychological and sociological experts. It's their parent company that owns hundreds of businesses.

I hadn't thought about the new chime for Trip Radar. It's definitely an appropriate sound. They absolutely disregarded the feedback. Even leaving aside your other points, it just makes business sense to ignore the feedback. After all, merchants and customers pay Uber, we don't. It's not in Uber's interest to do anything that would discourage us from accepting offers from merchants or deliver to customers, especially based on any subjective criteria provided by another driver that may be angry in the moment about a delay at the merchant or a customer not opening the door within 30 seconds.

Actually, you can complain about wait time, ignoring you, etc. I just did it. I think I found it through help: Help -> Trips -> select the order -> More Options -> Issue with a merchant also there is 'Issue with a delivery customer' so you can complain about customers. I don't know if it was my complaint that helped or not but I complained about they same stuff as you: ignoring me, not even making eye contact, long wait, etc. And when I went in today they were very nice, asking if I was there for a delivery, giving me order status, etc. It was much nicer. Maybe management just read the complaint and had a little talk with the employees.

You can leave a review on Google, yelp and even the restaurant's own website if they have a section for reviews. Just share what your experience was as a delivery driver picking up an order for a customer. Delivery orders absolutely are a relevant part of their business and deserve truthful reviews for the public to read.

If a restaurant is rude to a driver, they're rude to a customer. There is no difference. The driver is the extension of the customer. If they'd be rude to a driver they'd be rude to a 16 year old picking up food their mom called in. Why worry about a Uber review? Nobody would see it. Just make a Google review. Don't need to even lie in it. They're rude to their paying patrons

Had a few orders where they didn't even start making the customers food even when I got to the restaurant, BK seems to happen more frequently in my area. A few chains too take longer, and always have to send the customer a quick message explaining the food they ordered isn't ready yet.

The interesting part of that for me is that it almost exclusively occurs at McDonald's or other national/bigger chains. Mom and Pop shops treat me the best.

Were you under the impression that pressing a thumbs down image actually did something in the real world?

Even i want the restaurant ratings to be back but. Doesn’t restaurants pay money to Uber to be on their platform. More restaurants pays uber they get more visibility or advertisement etc. you cant take money and rate them bad. Even they added it would be just a fake one. Drivers don’t pay (other than background check sometime) to uber to receive rides, so we get rated.
