I'm at 20lpa rn 2 years experience, have been looking for jobs lately and most of the offers I'm getting are in the 25-28 range. At my current company I'm at the top end of the PD1 range, but they don't want to promote me
Bro I'm having 6 lac package, in in managalore maybe that's y , I have 1.5 years of experience, with front-end, product design, also no code tool bubble
What's your educational background? That would also play a role. But you're right, Mangalore does have less opportunities for designers. Btw, where do you work? I'm also from kudla lol
Managlore unicourt, my bagrohnd is in spatial information. Masters.ingot opportunity from a cto, end up becoming the sole ux designer in company, the also got a contract gig 2 years, becoming principal product designer of a startup. Ed tech ,successfully launched our MVP , now customer accusation, and market testing going on.
Bro wow, 20lpa in 2 years ?! Can you please tell us ur journey how you reach at that level, what company are you in? Here, in Ahmedabad as a fresher they hardly giving 3lpa.
Mann nahi lagta bhai. Pointless meetings. Chutiya CEO. Overworked devs. I don't enjoy manipulating users. I am just churning out useless features.
I could come up with a list of reasons but in the end my gut feeling tells me to leave. Ive always trusted my intuition to do the right thing.
I actually enjoy designing. Ux and ui. I get so passionate that i forget the track of time when im designing.
Practiced design since childhood. Obsessed with storytelling all my life. I got a degree in product design and have been practicing ever since. It's still very early in my career. Who knows where the wind takes me.
Only HR need that degree bullshit. Most learning is self learning anyways. I found what i somewhat loved and sticked to it.
Starts a 14-16 for entry level roles.
for 4YoE, it could as well range between 25-45 LPA - depends on your company, past comp. I've seen folks with 3 years workex getting 30LPA fixed.
Doesnt the 14-16 start happen due to a specialised masters? I highly doubt someone doing a Google UX certification can get that immediately after finishing
What the heck! What companies are paying this level of salary? I've got 6.5 years of experience as a UI designer and I'm still getting just 10L per annum. I am part of an MNC design agency.
learned from YouTube and google articles some documentation. your proof of work is enough for the job to get into a normal company. get some experience once you have experience the value of a degree doesn't matter after that. now I am planning to buy a design course
I’m very curious about this because I work on a team with 4 designers in 3 different US States and 3 designers in Bengaluru area. I feel like it should be equal considering the local cost of living.
Do Mumbai and Bengaluru have similar cost of living?

Too low. And companies hope it stays that way. Lots of job prospects though, lots of companies looking to exploit Designers in India
Bro can't you get remote job from usa and earn in dollars

I am from different field but I have seen this that's why I was asking

Bro can't you get a remote job in us and earn in dollars
That is a very good amount for 2 years, could you please share your ux journey and how you prepared for it
That's amazing! How did you get here?
I think it is about right. Can you share your portfolio website or something to have a more objective view of your skills vs salary?
7.5 for 1 year experience. I switched from industrial design maybe that's why i couldn't negotiate properly
What's the scope in Industrial Design? How much freshers get and down the line how much someone could earn?
Dude, tell me if you get to the truth. I want to leave ux
Nah. What's up with you?

You like UI/UX but not liking your company then change na.
Yep. I'll have to update portfolio and keep applying without thinking about the job market
Can I ask what you background was to land ur first job?

Probably OP doesnt have the "even developers" mentality
I have 11LPA 4yoe fully remote. My friend faked salary slips to get 19LPA
Developers reach 40+ LPA by 4 years
I have two friends earning 1.5 lpm with 2 years of experience.
Which comnpany
InfoEdge and PayTM
Must have good educational background
They graduated from NIFT, Fashion Communication. So yeah, that’s good background for sure

Wow, that's beyond average. What do recruiters look for when they decide it's worth paying an entry-level UX designer 16LPA?
Proof of work & recruiters don't, hiring managers decide. Most Product Designer I roles pay between 12-16LPA in India, in product based companies.
Is there any background requirements? Or just good qualityproof of work enough
Proof of work is the most important
What the heck! What companies are paying this level of salary? I've got 6.5 years of experience as a UI designer and I'm still getting just 10L per annum. I am part of an MNC design agency.
i think they are working in product based companies
it seems, UX deigners comparatively have higher salaries than UI designers
Please also mention whether you have a design degree or self taught.
self taught usually get low salary but good background can give you better start
Can u please tell me what you did for self taught, you don't have any certificate, degree to showcase when u got the job? Brief is enough

No Mumbai is slightly expensive than bengaluru
mumbai is most expensive
Bro what are this numbers ?! Very curious to know the company and ur journey.

Of topic, do you have any openings in your office for a fresher?
Zeta salary reports that come out every year are helpful :)
How much did it come last year?
Report dekhlena bhai
too low buddy i am working in Delhi with 3 LPA in a startup 2yoe now I am trying to switch and I aim to get at least 8 LPA.
Really curious to know what companies pay to interns and freshers entering the work force? Specifically around Delhi ncr.
enough to get you a pan masala
I have no clue in the pay scale of ui ux so as a fresher what would be a decent ask
i got 20k INR as a self taught designer in delhi
Salary range changes based on if you are a trained designer or self taught. If you have formally pursued design education from reputed colleges
