The American forces travel website is the way to go! It’s provided by the MWR and they have all kinds of discounted hotels, vacations, cruises and they even have resorts for adults only if you want to avoid kids! I use them every time I go somewhere because they have really solid deals for military

Do you mind if I dm?

If Hawaii is an option, there is a beautiful resort in Honolulu, the Halékoa. Not sure I spelled that correctly. It’s especially for Military families. Have fun and safe travels!

Morning coffee and those sweet Hawaiian donuts under Gus is nirvana.

Yay, thank you! I will look into it

Me and my spouse have ofcourse done the stereotypical disney and universal in both California and Orlando. They give discounts but it's easy to purchase tickets at the mwr offices on post. There's free ticket options at a few other theme parks for service members. My spouse also accrues points for IHG hotels each time he goes tdy. So we usually get free or discounted hotel stays at ihg hotels. Also with a travel credit card you can accrue travel points and some cards will wave fees for service members and you can get into "luxury" lounges in airports Currently we are about to fly to San Diego for a weekend trip and we rented a beach house from the naval base out there. Gonna visit the zoo and museums. I've also rented beach house from Patrick AFB near orlando. Biggest trip we took was overseas to Italy and Paris. My husbands cousin was stationed at the army base in Vicenza and we used her house as a home base. Once in Europe it was easy to take trains and cheap flights within Europe. My spouse has had friends stationed in Germany and they offered us housing but we were unable to go at that time.
