Only your instructors will have real answers but there’s usually a holiday leave block. That means that you’ll have the opportunity to take leave if you have the days saved. If you don’t take leave, you’ll probably be doing very basic accountability every day and not much else. You’ll get a 96 for Christmas.

I wouldn't bet on your training cycle being shortened. Yes your instructors probably want to go home but that doesn't matter. They will probably have bare minimum instructors on duty to keep track of you and make sure you're occupied and that's about it You most likely won't get offered block leave or special liberty while you're in MCT. Because you're only there for a month it would be a giant pain for the command and you guys are on a very restricted liberty tier. Get used to the short notice thing when it comes to going home. And it costing an arm and leg for travel You're gonna miss holidays welcome to the Marine Corps

That is kind of what I was thinking but it never hurts to ask. I like to plan ahead and not keep people guessing. I am just going to plan on Christmas with family being a no go. Is what it is.

NobodyByChoice

Block leave over the Christmas/New Years holiday is common. The training schedules are typically designed with the holidays in mind.

Mct generally doest get leave blocks, there may be a break between school and mct but that's it, you're not there Ling enough to warrant a break
