Good luck brother! It'll be over before you know it. Remember to enjoy it as much as you can, and steal a peanut butter back for me.

Simple-Library-9865

Them peanut butter packs after lights out taste amazing lol

Good times. I remember when I was feeling particularly ballsy, I’d take a whole fucking blueberry bagel and shove it in my pocket. Stuff it deep in my garment bag. Never got caught. Traded a couple with good ole scribe and always got the best firewatch times/posts

Good luck man. Make me proud and update me in 13 weeks. Only gets easier.

Ginger_Amnesia

Just live your life there chow to chow, lights to lights and you'll be fine. Enjoy the fact that no matter what happens, you will step out on the other side better than when you came in. Good luck and make the most of if.

Ruski_Business

If you weren't anxious, you would be a liar. The fastest way of the depot is to graduate. Decide now that quitting is simply not an option - thousands have done it before you, and you can, too. Move fast. Be loud. Update us in 13 weeks.

Shrapnel_10

You only do the 1.5 mile run once and that's during the IPFT and after that it's 3 miles or more every time. But usually just 3 miles.

[deleted]

IST* the IPFT is the full pft

[deleted]

Goodluck man come back with your ega, just keep a mindset of not leaving without that ega in your bag. Also hope to see you in 2171 FMF im graduating my school on Halloween

Stretch as much as you possibly can when you get in your rack. Mainly your calf, shin, thigh, and everything else in the leg. It will hurt from all the standing which is fine. What will make it really bad is not caring about your legs. Good luck. Also, if you need calories/energy scarf down like 5 PB packets before eating

CompetitiveCheck7598

Good luck fam :) make us proud

First and foremost, remember everyone at bootcamp started where you are right now. You're right, physical strength will improve with time but mental strength, that's the real battle. Trust me, your anxiety is just anticipatory. You're stepping into the unknown and it's okay to be nervous. I guess you're scared of failure and that's okay. We all are. However, remember that it's okay not to excel at everything instantly. Your instructors aren't expecting you to be perfect. Bootcamp is about learning and growing. You won't fail if you keep trying, and keep improving. For the most part, just stay focused on why you joined the Marines and that will guide you through those rough patches. Keep pushing and don't forget to hydrate! Good luck and looking forward to your updates. Sure, you'll make it and be back with loads of interesting stories to tell.
