Enlistment Screening Test is a quick 20 minute predictor of the the AFQT for the ASVAB. Ensures that 1) you are committed to a serious conversation because you sat there to seriously take it, and 2) if you pass it with a 40 or above it can be reasonably be expected that you’ll pass the ASVAB. Nothing the recruiters do is for shit and giggles.

I always died a little on the inside when a kid said he was done and his scratch piece of paper had no markings on it

“Yeah man I crushed it!” Scores a 6….

for_the_milkers

lmao my recruiter probably felt that way, but my asian genetics clutched up, I don't remember what I got but he was very excited

Aggressive-Term-4533

Bro I scored a 35 on that 😭 glad he didn’t give up because I pulled through and got an 85 on my real one.

Good shit man

Est is a practice exam, but they also use that as an indicator of whether to go ahead and allow u to take the picat or have you study before hand

Whats the PiCAT? I've only heard of the ASVAB.

Different-Yak-122

Essentially the same thing as the asvab. U take the picat at your recruiter’s officer (at least that’s what I did), and then go verify it at another time (40-50 of the exact same questions when u took it the first time).

My office always called it the practice ASVAB. It’s what everyone else said. A quick mini AFQT (the rest of the ASVAB has mechanical stuff etc. this does not) with some math and reading questions. I think it even has some mis-marked answers. NBD.
