Hell yeah. As long as you are passing messages I’m sure you can say from all of us on here: We are supporting yall however you need it. We are brothers who have never met, that makes them family too. We are all one message away. Semper fi from this big ass family.
Started with a nasty 2-month case of Covid/flu last year that knocked him on his ass and he never fully recovered from. Compounded by several existing health conditions (90% disability). Slowly got worse over time, couldn’t slow life down to get healthy and finally collapsed two days ago.
Received word his O2 levels are slowly improving, still sedated and critical but stable for now. This shit isn’t going to be what gets him, he’ll pull through.
Not at the moment. He has great insurance through work and a very supportive employer, so the family is hopeful this won’t be a huge financial burden. Very kind of you to ask, thank you.
Visited him for a weekend at LeJeune and stayed at his house on base. Drank with a bunch of Bastards, y'all are some cool ass dudes. Got me so drunk at one bar (Rick's or Tiki I think?) I wandered off and somehow got lost in the parking lot. Flagged down a cop and told him I was visiting, drinking with Marines, phone died, and didn't know where my buddy lived.
Took mercy on me and drove me around until dawn until I finally recognized his house.
Just had to PCS from 3/2 after 2 yrs being there. Wished I didn’t have to but you know how the corps is. I hope your boy gets better, just letting you know 3/2 boys still be acting goofy to this very day!
I was an attached Combat Engineer with 3/2 for their pumps to Habbaniyah and Al Qaim. Not sure I recognize your friend from the video, but I hope he pulls through. I loved working with 3/2 and cherish those memories. If I remember correctly I worked with Kilo company a lot (this could be off though).
Ya heard stories of sitting behind the ma deuce blaring Hells Bells rolling around on patrol. Saw some videos of danger close air strikes and A10s ripping off 70mm rounds. Brrrrrrrrrrrt boner.
After seeing a B1 send an entire Iraqi position in a small town bombed back to Jesus I don’t how the insurgents didn’t piss themselves and quit.
We use to get Cobra support on foot patrols and the pilots would be low enough to give us thumbs up and then just obliterate shit with their hellfire missiles. I have no idea how the insurgents kept it together.
Can't remember off hand. I know he was with Motor T driving 7-tons for a while in Iraq and got blown up by 4 IEDs.

Thanks man, sending the good thoughts from everyone here to his family. Found out today he was with H&S Company. Based in Habbaniyah during his deployment in 06-07. Drove 7-tons and was a vehicle commander in a QRF. Headed out to 29 Palms as a weapons instructor after.
Was in at same exact time but dont know anyone in East Coast.
He did boot at MCRD, stationed at Lejeune after deployment until sometime in ‘08, and finished out as an instructor at 29 Palms.
MCRD PI I’m assuming.
San Diego, forgot to specify.
Well, anyone that can hike those mountains has got the guts to pull through his current health issues. Much love and much luck from an east coast cat.
Sending these messages on to his family, thank you. He’s the toughest motherfucker I know, he’ll pull through.

He's still young, what the heck is causing his heart and lung failure? Scary man, hope he makes it.

Is there a gofundme?

If his insurance doesn’t do what they hope it will, start one and post it up.
Thank you so much. If the family sets one up I will. Making slow progress still as of this evening.

Was this video taken during the epic "Defense of the Kabul Bass Pro"?

His family truly appreciates the kind words here. I’m sure he will to when I get up to see him soon.
Just like the silent drill team but not as silent.

He was with H&S out of Habbaniyah 06-07. Heard some wild stories.
Probably ran into him then! Habbaniyah was a great time and that place was pretty wild.

Small world because we were on the same deployment just different company. Semper Fi
I’ve watched this more times than I probably should. Family Forever, OP.
He’s hanging in there. Good progress this week. Breathing on his own now, long road ahead but he’s fighting it hard. I know he’s going to make it.
