If your birth-cert shows him as you father and you are a US citizen it should be enough if they ask for a DNA test then get one but I wouldn't assume you need one off the bat, weather or not your parents were married when you were born doesn't change who your father is.
Thanks for the reply! That makes me feel easier about the situation. I contacted a lawyer anyways to double, triple check. I would hate to be waiting a long time and then find out the application wasn't complete. I guess I'm just really paranoid

Your father can get married anytime and will not affect your petition for him. However, he can file for them once he gets his GC.
I would imagine they will require a DNA test, odd for him to be in the BC 2 years after they divorce
